The transducer includes a permanent magnet, at least two ferromagnetic metal poles, a coil that is configured to loop around the at least one ferromagnetic metal pole, and a bottom flatwork comprising at least two apertures to receive the at least two ferromagnetic metal poles, wherein the permanent magnet comprises a north magnetic pole and a south magnetic pole, wherein the at least two ferromagnetic metal poles are configured to be displaced on top of the permanent magnet and through the at least one aperture on the bottom flatwork, wherein the coil is configured to loop around the at least two ferromagnetic metal poles to comprise two loops in a shape of figure eight, and wherein the bottom flatwork is configured to be on top of the permanent magnet.
Free form modular pickup system
The present invention discloses a modular pickup system that is integrated into an electric guitar that facilitates quick change-out of pickups, free form repositioning of pickups, switch assignment of pickups to the guitar's pickup switch positions or phase (polarity) selection of the pickups.
Electrical hum eliminator
A noise eliminator to eliminate electrical hum from an amplified musical instrument is provided. An aspect provides a method of playing an electrically amplified musical instrument having a sound pickup system that is electrically grounded, including, but not limited to, the steps of: disposing a first connector to the skin of a player of the amplified musical instrument, wherein the connector has least two oppositely disposed sides, and wherein the first disposed side removably adheres to the skin of the player and the second disposed side permits an electrical connection to be made with the player's skin; disposing a second connector that is electrically connected to the electrical ground of the sound pickup system; and establishing an electrical connection between the first connector and the second connector. Other aspects are described and claimed.

Electric stringed instrument using movable pickups and humbucking circuits
This invention discloses a hollow-body guitar with a large rectangular sound hole between the neck and bridge, with two pickup mounting slots on each side of the sound hole in removable top plates, including a system of top plates and mounting adapters for 7 different single-coil and dual-coil pickup types. The invention has a system humbucking pickup circuit mixing modules that can be cascaded in linear or tree form to mix all the types of pickups in the output, providing a much wider range of tones than current 3-way and 5-way switching systems. For example, three matched single-coil pickups and one humbucker can be mixed to provide 19 humbucking circuits and 18 circuits with hum. Mixed a different way, using switchless analog circuits, they can produce the tones of all 19 switched humbucking circuits, plus all the continuous variations in between.
