A system for providing mobile content to a mobile communication device includes a first computing system including one or more servers to provide, via a communications network, a graphical user interface at a second computing system, the graphical user interface (i) enabling the user of the second computing system to edit a digital file to create the mobile content and (ii) prompting and enabling a user of the second computing system to provide a phone number associated with the mobile communication device, the mobile communication device being separate and remote from the first computing system and the second computing system. The first computing system receives, from the second computing system via the communications network, the mobile content and the phone number associated with the mobile communication device. The first computing system uses a the phone number received from the second computing system to cause the delivery of the mobile content to the mobile communication device via a wireless data network in a format compatible with one or more operational parameters of the mobile communication device, the one or more operational parameters including at least one of a mobile communication device type and a software platform type, wherein the using of the received phone number to cause the delivery of the mobile content to the mobile communication device is performed without the mobile communication device identifying the one or more operational parameters to the first computing system or the second computing system.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING PARTICULARIZED AUDIBLE ALERTS
A system and method of generating at least two distinctive auditory alerts upon receiving a transmission or telephone call at a device is described. Data indicative of a first plurality of sounds corresponding to a user of a device configured to receive the transmission or telephone call is accessed, such as from a memory. The first plurality of sounds is played at the device so as to identify a received transmission or telephone call being directed to the user. A telephone number, subscriber name or identifier associated with a transmitting or calling party of the transmission or telephone call is accessed. Data indicative of a second plurality of sounds designating the transmitting or calling party based on the subscriber name, telephone number or identifier is retrieved, such as from a data structure, and the second plurality of sounds is played at the device so as to identify the transmitting or calling party.

Among other things, generating a dynamic digital data file for transferring to a mobile communication device includes receiving from a user a phone number associated with a mobile communication device. Also, a user selected digital data file is received. Authorization to access the received digital data file is verified. When detected that the received digital data file is verified as an authorized file, the user is able to edit the received digital data file to generate mobile content. A data connection with the mobile communication device associated with the received phone number is also established. Further, one or more operational parameters of the mobile communication device based on the established data connection are determined. The generated mobile content is transcoded into a format compatible to the determined operational parameters, and the transcoded mobile content is delivered to the mobile communication device.

A communication apparatus and a sound playing method thereof are provided. The method is adapted for a communication apparatus having a first speaker used as an earpiece and a second speaker, in which the first speaker and the second speaker are disposed at opposite sides of the communication apparatus. In the method, an event with a sound notification is detected. A left channel sound and a right channel sound of the sound notification are mixed to generate a mixed sound in response to detecting the event. The mixed sound is played by the first speaker with a fade-in effect.
