Systems, devices, and methods for harmonic structure in digital representations of music
12014708 · 2024-06-18 · ·

Systems, devices, and methods for encoding the harmonic structure of a musical composition in a digital data structure are described. Tonal and rhythmic commonalities are identified across the musical bars that make up a musical composition. Individual bars of the musical composition are each analyzed to characterize their respective harmonic fingerprints in various forms, and the respective harmonic fingerprints are compared to sort the musical bars into harmonic equivalence categories. Isomorphic mappings between hierarchical data structures that encode the musical composition based on musicality and harmony, respectively, are also described. The systems, devices, and methods for encoding the harmonic structure of a musical composition in a digital data structure have broad applicability in computer-based composition and variation of music.

Systems and methods for analyzing components of audio tracks

A method is described comprising receiving a stem signal and an audio mix signal, wherein the audio mix signal comprises information of the stem signal. The method includes applying a first transform to the stem signal to provide a first stem spectrum, applying a second transform to the stem signal to provide a second stem spectrum, generating a plurality of mix signals using the audio mix signal, applying a first transform to each mix signal of the plurality of mix signals to provide a corresponding first mix signal spectrum, applying a second transform to each mix signal of the plurality of mix signals to provide a corresponding second mix signal spectrum, and using information of the first stem spectrum, the second stem spectrum, a first mix signal spectrum, or a second mix signal spectrum to detect the information of the stem signal in the audio mix signal.

Enhancing an audio recording

A system and method are provided for enhancing an audio recording which comprises a recording of a sound signal obtained from the play-out of an audio signal via a speaker. The audio signal, and thereby the sound signal, may represent certain audio content, e.g., a radio station or TV audio. To perform the enhancing, the recording of the sound signal is suppressed using the audio signal, thereby obtaining an intermediate audio recording. An original version of the audio content is then added to the intermediate audio recording to obtain an enhanced audio recording. This original version is generally of higher quality as it generally does not represent a background audio component but rather was purposefully recorded or generated.

Provided is a terminal apparatus including a target data acquisition unit configured to acquire target data which is: superimposed data obtained by superimposing spread encoded data on non-spread encoded audio data, the spread encoded data obtained by encoding information using a spreading code; or data obtained by converting sound reproduced on the basis of the superimposed data into an electrical signal; and an information extraction unit configured to retain multiple spreading codes and extract the information from the target data using a spreading code selected by a user.

Audio matching with supplemental semantic audio recognition and report generation

System, apparatus and method for determining semantic information from audio, where incoming audio is sampled and processed to extract audio features, including temporal, spectral, harmonic and rhythmic features. The extracted audio features are compared to stored audio templates that include ranges and/or values for certain features and are tagged for specific ranges and/or values. The semantic information may be associated with audio codes to determine changing characteristics of identified media during a time period.

Method of and a system for matching audio tracks using chromaprints with a fast candidate selection routine

A computer-implemented method of matching of a first incoming audio track with an indexed audio track, the method executable at a server, the method comprising: selecting the indexed audio track as a candidate audio track from a plurality of indexed audio tracks; validating the candidate audio track against the first audio track.

Method for inserting watermark to image and electronic device thereof

A method for operating an electronic device is provided. The method includes determining one or more images; determining at least one first sound sources; dividing the first sound source into a plurality of second sound sources; and inserting at least one of the plurality of the second sound sources into the one or more images.
