The method further includes applying the one or more changes to the one or more musical elements to revise the segment of the musical performance.

The mood data is related to an emotional state of a human user disposed within the motor vehicle. A loudspeaker is disposed within a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle. A processing device is communicatively coupled to each of the source of pieces of music, the source of weather data, the source of mood data, and the loudspeaker. The processing device selects one of the pieces of music dependent upon the weather data and the mood data, and plays the selected piece of music on the loudspeaker.

A system is described that permits identified musical phrases or themes to be synchronized and linked into changing real-world events. The achieved synchronization includes a seamless musical transition—achieved using a timing offset, such as relative advancement of an significant musical “onset,” that is inserted to align with a pre-existing but identified music signature, beat or timebase—between potentially disparate pre-identified musical phrases having different emotive themes defined by their respective time signatures, intensities, keys, musical rhythms and/or musical phrasing. The system operates to augment an overall sensory experience of a user in the real world by dynamically changing, re-ordering or repeating and then playing audio themes within the context of what is occurring in the surrounding physical environment, e.g. during different phases of a cardio workout in a step class the music rate and intensity increase during sprint periods and decrease during recovery periods.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DETERMINING COMPACT SEMANTIC REPRESENTATIONS OF DIGITAL AUDIO SIGNALS
A method and system for determining a compact semantic representation of a digital audio signal using a computer-based system by calculating at least one low-level feature matrix from the digital audio signal; processing the low-level feature matrix or matrices using pre-trained machine learning engines including an ensemble of modules, wherein each module in the ensemble is trained to predict a one of a plurality of high-level feature values; and concatenating the obtained plurality of high-level feature values into a descriptor vector. The calculated descriptor vectors can be used alone, or in an arbitrary or temporally ordered combination with further descriptor vectors calculated from different audio signals extracted from the same music track, as a compact semantic representation of the respective music track.

An example method involves accessing, from a database, a first mood vector that describes first media data and specifies an association between a first value and a first mood, accessing, from the database, a second mood vector that describes a second media data and specifies an association between a second value and a second mood, retrieving a first score that represents congruency between the first and second moods, the first score being retrieved from a data structure that correlates the first and second moods, using a processor, generating a second score that represents congruency between the first and second mood vectors, the generating the second score being based on the accessed first and second values and the retrieved first score, and, based on at least the generated second score, providing an indicator to a module.
Method and system for musical communication
Novel tools and techniques are provided for generating music, and, more particularly, to methods, systems, and apparatuses for generating music associated with a state contained within a communication, for a user interface for generating music associated with a state, for generated music to reflect movement between states, and for generating music to guide a user toward a desired state. In various embodiments, a computing system might analyze a communication of a user to determine at least one state contained within the communication. The communication may be a sensor communication, a biometric/health communication, a voice communication, a numerical communication, a textual communication, a picture/video communication, etc. Based on the determined at least one state, the computing system might generate music associated with the state or continuously control the generation of music to guide a user toward a desired state. A user interface for generating music may also be provided.
