The music yielding device may yield one or more sets of musical notes conforming to one or more attributes. The controller may cause one or more criteria to be set determining conformance of one or more of the sets of musical notes to one or more of the attributes. The music analyzing device may calculate and transmit one or more correlations within one or more of the sets of musical notes. The musical data transferring device may transfer one or more of the sets of musical notes between one or more origins and one or more destinations.

Pseudo—live sound and music

A method and apparatus for the creation and playback of music and/or sound, so that sound sequences are generated that vary from one playback to another playback. In one embodiment, during composition creation, artist(s) may define how the composition may vary from playback to playback using visually interactive display(s). The artist's definition may be embedded into a composition dataset. During playback, a composition data set may be processed by a playback device and/or a playback program, so that each time the composition is played-back a unique version may be generated. Variability during playback may include: the variable selection of alternative sound segment(s); variable editing of sound segment(s) during playback processing; variable placement of sound segment(s) during playback processing; the spawning of group(s) of alternative sound segments from initiating sound segment(s); and the combining and/or mixing of alternative sound segments in one or more sound channels. MIDI-like variable compositions and the variable use of sound segments comprised of a timed sequence of MIDI-like commands are also disclosed.

VARIATIONS AUDIO PLAYBACK

A method for controlling a playback tempo of an audio track to be presented at an audio output, the audio track comprising a plurality of audio components, a first audio component of the plurality of audio components being associated with a plurality of sets of audio data, wherein each set of audio data in the plurality of sets of audio data is associated with a respective playback tempo range, the method comprising receiving a playback tempo for presenting the audio track at the audio output, selecting, from the plurality of sets of audio data, a set of audio data that has an associated playback tempo range comprising the received playback tempo, and allocating the selected set of audio data to the first audio component for presenting the audio track at the audio output.

Pace-aware music player

An electronic device may comprise audio processing circuitry, pace tracking circuitry, and positioning circuitry. The pace tracking circuitry may be operable to selects a tempo of songs for playback, by the audio processing circuitry based on position data generated by the positioning circuitry, a desired tempo, and whether the songs are stored locally or network-accessible. The position data may indicate the pace of a runner during a preceding, determined time interval. The pace tracking circuitry may control the song selection and/or time stretching based on a runner profile data stored in memory of the music device. The profile data may include runner's distance-per-stride data. The electronic device may include sensors operable to function as a pedometer. The pace tracking circuitry may update the distance-per-stride data based on the position data and based on data output by the one or more sensors.

Methods and systems for personalizing user experience based on use of service

An electronic device associated with a media-providing service has one or more processors and memory storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors. For each track of a plurality of tracks consumed by a user of the media-providing service, the electronic device receives, over a time window, an indication of user selection of the track to compile a listening history of the user and determines, based on the listening history of the user with the media-providing service, whether the track has previously been consumed by the user. The electronic device determines, for the user, a discovery score corresponding to an average preference of the user for selecting previously unconsumed tracks. In response to determining that an amount of use of the media-providing service by the user does not satisfy a use threshold, the electronic device forgoes recommending tracks to the user based on the discovery score.

Accessory for an audio output device

This disclosure describes techniques and systems for enabling accessory devices to output supplemental content that is complementary to content output by a primary user device in situations where a separate music-provider system provides the primary content to the primary device. The techniques may include attempting to identify the primary content using metadata provided by the music-provider system, retrieving existing audio feature data in response to identifying the primary content, and providing the audio feature data to the accessory device for use in outputting the supplemental content. If the primary content is unable to be identified using metadata, then the techniques may include instructing the primary device to generate audio feature data and/or instructing the primary device to generate a fingerprint of the primary content for use in identifying the primary content.

Autonomous music composition and performance system employing real-time analysis of a musical performance to automatically compose and perform music to accompany the musical performance
11037539 · 2021-06-15 · ·

An autonomous music composition and performance system employing an automated music composition and generation engine configured to receive musical signals from a set of a real or synthetic musical instruments being played by a group of human musicians. The system buffers and analyzes musical signals from the set of real or synthetic musical instruments, composes and generates music in real-time that augments the music being played by the band of musicians, and/or composes and generates music for subsequent playback, review and consideration by the human musicians.

Automated music composition and generation systems, engines and methods employing parameter mapping configurations to enable automated music composition and generation

An automated music composition and generation system having a system user interface operably connected to an automated music composition and generation engine, and supporting a method of scoring a selected media object with one or more pieces of digital music. The method uses the system user interface to select one or more musical experience descriptors and then apply the selected musical experience descriptors to the selected digital media object to indicate what, when and how particular musical events should occur in the one or more pieces of digital music to be automatically composed and generated by the automated music composition and generation engine. The generated piece of digital music is then used in musically scoring the selected digital media object.
