Musical score generator
A method of generating a musical score file for one or more target musical instruments with a score generation component based on input audio data. The score generation component finds candidate musical notes within the input audio data using a frequency analysis to identify segments that share substantially the same audio frequency, and finds a best match for those candidate musical notes in audio data associated with target musical instruments in a sound database. A generated musical score file can be printed as sheet music or audibly played back over speakers.
Generative composition with defined form atom heuristics
The disclosed generative composition system produces a composition to a briefing that describes a musical journey in emotional descriptions. The composition is assembled from concatenated interchangeable Form Atoms FAs selectable by tags aligning emotional descriptions with respective compositional heuristics. Each FA has self-contained constructional properties representative of an historical musical corpus. These heuristics support generation of chords, in chord schemes of musical tonics, achieving an equivalent form function. Each FA also includes chord spacer heuristics that temporally space generated chords across a defined musical window, and a chord list in a local tonic defining branching structures giving options for generating different chords. A progression descriptor, in combination with a form function, expresses musically a question, an answer or a statement, with each FA creating a meta-map of a chord scheme for a musical section. Musical transitions between FA reflect groupings in which FA have similar tags but different constructional properties.
Systems and methods for visual image audio composition based on user input
The present invention relates to systems and methods for visual image audio composition. In particular, the present invention provides systems and methods for audio composition from a diversity of visual images and user determined sound database sources.
System for organizing and displaying musical properties in a musical composition
A digital audio workstation organizes musical information in a visually consistent manner, such that it is easier for the user to see and to manipulate the content in a song. The organization includes a multitrack music stream, which depicts multiple adjacent streams (or tracks) of musical content playing in parallel; a Play Bar, which is a visual plane intersecting the music stream; and two or more data layers, which are spatially aligned with the underlying musical stream, but each of which contains a specific type of musical data which can be viewed and manipulated in isolation. This approach to visual organization of music information has some major benefits to the user. Many different kinds of musical content and transformations can be depicted in a clear and consistent manner, making it easier for the user to see and manipulate the song.
Musical Bodysuit Assembly
A musical bodysuit assembly includes a bodysuit that is wearable on a user. A plurality of sound pads is each strategically located on the bodysuit thereby facilitating each of the sound pads to be touched by the user when the user is performing dance moves. Each of the sound pads has a speaker for emitting audible sounds and each of the sound pads has touch sensing capabilities. The speaker in a respective sound pad is turned on to emit an audible sound when the respective sound pad is touched by the user to produce music that corresponds to dance moves performed by the user. A communication unit is in communication with the speaker in each of the sound pads and the communication unit has wireless communication capabilities thereby facilitating the communication unit to download digital audio from a remote data source.
System and method for implementing an intelligent automatic music jam session
According to a preferred aspect of the instant invention, there is provided a system and method that allows the user to implement an intelligent automatic music jam mode. The jam mode is adaptable to both novice and professional users, wherein the user is able to define in real-time a plurality of different settings which are instantly utilized and which provide instant results for the user. In an automatic mode the instant invention will pick settings autonomously, for example song part definition, tone pitch and instruments. In absence of constant user interaction the instant invention enters a creative mode wherein the initial user defined settings are varied to introduce variance into the jam session. The system and method also monitors data input by instruments connected and played by the user and intelligently adapts the setting selection accordingly.
MUSIC GENERATOR
Techniques are disclosed relating to determining composition rules, based on existing music content, to automatically generate new music content. In some embodiments, a computer system accesses a set of music content and generates a set of composition rules based on analyzing combinations of multiple loops in the set of music content. In some embodiments, the system generates new music content by selecting loops from a set of loops and combining selected ones of the loops such that multiple ones of the loops overlap in time. In some embodiments, the selecting and combining loops is performed based on the set of composition rules and attributes of loops in the set of loops.
Server, electronic device, server communication method, device communication method, and communication system
The disclosure provides a server, an electronic device, a server communication method, a device communication method, and a communication system. In loading of a communication system, in the case where an identifier of a timbre data and an instruction for loading the timbre data are transmitted from a mobile terminal to a server, the server acquires the timbre data corresponding to the identifier of the timbre data from a timbre DB, and transmits the timbre data together with the received instruction to a communication device (electronic musical instrument). In the electronic musical instrument, the received timbre data is stored to a work memory in response to the instruction received from the server.
System for synthesizing sounds from prototypes
A system is presented for generation of output sounds having psychoacoustic qualities comparable to input sound or sounds. Short term and intermediate term features are computed for each input sound, sound components are clustered, filtered, and scored; and a prediction learning system is trained on the probabilities of classes of regions over time. A decoder can make use of this information to generate outputs that sound similar to, but not the same as, the input sound or sounds. The method and apparatus can be operated with no special training.
Electronic Musical Instrument and Electronic Musical Instrument System
Provided is an electronic musical instrument. The electronic musical instrument is configured to generate an internal acoustic signal; generate a sound generation instruction signal; output the sound generation instruction signal to an external sound source configured to generate an external acoustic signal; switch a first state in which the external acoustic signal is generated by the external sound source in response to the sound generation instruction signal, to a second state in which the internal acoustic signal is generated in response to the sound generation instruction signal; and, when the first state is switched to the second state, set a mode of the internal acoustic signal such that the internal acoustic signal is generated with a mode having a predetermined degree of similarity to a mode of the external acoustic signal generated in the first state.
