Generating tonally compatible, synchronized neural beats for digital audio files
12217730 · 2025-02-04 · ·

Methods and systems for improved neural beat generation for digital audio files are provided. In one embodiment the method is provided that includes receiving a digital audio file and a beat frequency for a neural beat. Chromagram features may be extracted from the digital audio file and may be used to identify dominant pitch classes at a plurality of timestamps within the digital audio file. A plurality of carrier frequencies at different time periods within the digital audio file may be selected based on the dominant pitch classes. A neural beat may be synthesized for the digital audio file based on the beat frequency in the plurality of carrier frequencies. The neural beat may be stored and/or may be combined with the digital audio file to generate a combined audio track, which may be stored.

FRAMEWORK AND METHOD FOR MELODY GENERATION

Methods and system for music generation. One method comprises defining a phrase structure and a metrical layout, and generating a melody based on the phrase structure and the metrical layout using a probabilistic model of contour-sequences in a machine learning model. The probabilistic model includes a plurality of production rules determined by the machine learning model trained on a dataset of hierarchical analyses, and the contour-sequences defining directional patterns between musical notes extracted from the dataset of hierarchical analyses.

INTUITIVE MUSIC VISUALIZATION USING EFFICIENT STRUCTURAL SEGMENTATION

Embodiments of the present invention relate to automatically identifying structures of a music stream. A segment structure may be generated that visually indicates repeating segments of a music stream. To generate a segment structure, a feature that corresponds to a music attribute from a waveform corresponding to the music stream is extracted from a waveform, such as an input signal. Utilizing a signal segmentation algorithm, such as a Variable Markov Oracle (VMO) algorithm, a symbolized signal, such as a VMO structure, is generated. From the symbolized signal, a matrix is generated. The matrix may be, for instance, a VMO-SSM. A segment structure is then generated from the matrix. The segment structure illustrates a segmentation of the music stream and the segments that are repetitive.

METHOD FOR FOLLOWING A MUSICAL SCORE AND ASSOCIATED MODELING METHOD
20170110102 · 2017-04-20 ·

A method for following a musical score in real time. At least one sound emitted by a performer is recorded. At least one chromatic vector is estimated. The chromatic vector is compared with theoretical chromatic vectors of the musical score. A transition between the chromatic vector and a previous chromatic vector with theoretical transitions of the musical score is compared. A work position of the performer depending on a previous work position is estimated from the comparison of the chromatic vector and the comparison of the transition. The recording is carried out for a suitable period depending on the ratio between a period of the transition and a reference period.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SEARCHING, COMPARING AND/OR MATCHING DIGITAL AUDIO FILES
20170097992 · 2017-04-06 · ·

Systems and/or computer-implemented methods search, compare and/or match digital audio files, wherein the systems and/or methods provide a group of digital audio tracks to a computer system, wherein the group is provided to the computer system as input files or stored in a database associated with the computer system, wherein the group comprises a first digital audio track and a second digital audio track, wherein the first digital audio track is a live recording of a song and the second digital audio track is a previously recorded studio recording of a song. Moreover, the systems and methods compare audio features of the first and second digital audio tracks to determine whether the first and second digital audio tracks are a match comprising same performances of a same song or different performances of the same song, and output bounds for the match when the first and second digital audio tracks are determined to match, wherein the bounds for the match comprise start and end times for the match in both the first and second digital audio tracks.

Form atom heuristics and generative composition

A Form Atom defined by self-contained constructional properties representing a historical corpus of music and contained within metadata of the Form Atom is disclosed. The Form Atom has a generative set of heuristics to support generation of a set of chords in a chord scheme or many different sets of chords. The generated chords are spaced out within a defined window of musical time by chord spacer heuristics. The Form Atom has a tag describing its compositional heuristics. A chord list of the Form Atom is provided in local tonic and defines branching structures that may be used for the generation of different chords from the local tonic. A progression descriptor is combined with a form function such that the Form Atom expresses musically a question, an answer and a statement. A meta-map of a chord scheme for a musical section is created from the metadata.

Comparison Training for Music Generator

Techniques are disclosed relating to automatically generating new music content based on image representations of audio files. A music generation system includes a music generation subsystem and a music classification subsystem. The music generation subsystem may generate output music content according to music parameters that define policy for generating music. The classification subsystem may be used to classify whether music is generated by the music generation subsystem or is professionally produced music content. The music generation subsystem may implement an algorithm that is reinforced by prediction output from the music classification subsystem. Reinforcement may include tuning the music parameters to generate more human-like music content.
