Harmonic tracking equalizer
09696962 · 2017-07-04 ·

The Harmonic Tracking Equalizer (HTEq) is an apparatus for and method of carrying out harmonic tracking equalization processing of an electrical signal, and apparatuses for and methods of controlling such equalization processing of the signal to dynamically sense the time-varying spectrum of an input signal and closely match a user desired audio signal spectrum while preserving the original dynamic range of the signal. The harmonically (sub-harmonically) tracked equalization is according to a user specified spectral request specified by a control interface that allows a user to request an amount of equalization to be applied to the signal. This apparatus is intended to process audio signals; though, it has general application to waveforms of other source and higher frequency content.

Audio correction apparatus, and audio correction method thereof

An audio correction apparatus and an audio correction method. The audio correction method includes: receiving audio data, which may be input by a user and/or an instrument uttering sounds; detecting onset information by analyzing harmonic components of the received audio data; detecting pitch information of the received audio data based on the detected onset information; comparing the audio data with reference audio data and aligning the two based on the detected onset information and the detected pitch information; and correcting the aligned audio data to match the reference audio data.

Audio matching with supplemental semantic audio recognition and report generation

System, apparatus and method for determining semantic information from audio, where incoming audio is sampled and processed to extract audio features, including temporal, spectral, harmonic and rhythmic features. The extracted audio features are compared to stored audio templates that include ranges and/or values for certain features and are tagged for specific ranges and/or values. The semantic information may be associated with audio codes to determine changing characteristics of identified media during a time period.

Systems and methods for audio based synchronization using sound harmonics

Multiple audio files may be synchronized using harmonic sound included in audio content obtained from audio tracks. Individual audio tracks are partitioned into multiple temporal windows of a first and second temporal window length. Individual audio waveforms for individual temporal windows of the first and second window length are transformed into frequency space in which energy is represented as a function of frequency. Individual pitches and magnitudes of harmonic sound determined for individual temporal windows may be compared using a multi-resolution framework to correlate pitches and harmonic energy of multiple audio tracks to one another.

AUDIO MATCHING BASED ON HARMONOGRAM

In an example context of identifying live audio, an audio processor machine accesses audio data that represents a query sound and creates a spectrogram from the audio data. Each segment of the spectrogram represents a different time slice in the query sound. For each time slice, the audio processor machine determines one or more dominant frequencies and an aggregate energy value that represents a combination of all the energy for that dominant frequency and its harmonics. The machine creates a harmonogram by representing these aggregate energy values at these dominant frequencies in each time slice. The harmonogram thus may represent the strongest harmonic components within the query sound. The machine can identify the query sound by comparing its harmonogram to other harmonograms of other sounds and may respond to a user's submission of the query sound by providing an identifier of the query sound to the user.

Audio processing method, audio processing system, and computer-readable medium

An audio processing method obtains observed envelopes of picked-up sound signals including a first observed envelope representing a contour of a first sound signal including a first target sound from a first sound source and a second spill sound from a second sound source and a second observed envelope representing a contour of a second sound signal including a second target sound from the second sound source and a first spill sound from the first sound source; and generates, based on the observed envelopes, output envelopes including a first output envelope representing a contour of the first target sound in the first observed envelope and a second output envelope representing a contour of the second target sound in the second observed envelope, using a mix matrix including a mix proportion of the second spill sound in the first sound signal and a mix proportion of the first spill sound in the second sound signal.
