METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PLAYING AUDIOS
Provided a method for playing audios. The method includes: acquiring vibration control information corresponding to a target audio, wherein at least one vibration period and vibration attribute information corresponding to the at least one vibration period are recorded in the vibration control information, and each vibration period corresponds to a beat period of a target percussive instrument in the target audio; synchronously playing the target audio and the vibration control information; and when any vibration period of the at least one vibration period is played, controlling a terminal to vibrate based on vibration attribute information corresponding to the vibration period.
Producing sounds in a virtual world and related sound card
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for producing sounds in a virtual world, as well as a sound card. The method comprises the steps of determining a spring mass model of an object in the virtual world based on a 3D model of the object; analyzing force components produced on the 3D model by a collision in the virtual world; and generating sounds produced by the collision according to the spring mass model and the force components. By considering sound material of the object in the virtual world, the method, apparatus, and sound card may produce sounds in the virtual world more vividly and in real time.
INTERACTIVE INSTRUMENTS AND OTHER STRIKING OBJECTS
Systems, methods, and devices for providing interactive striking objects (e.g., drumsticks) and performing actions in response to striking motions of the striking objects are disclosed. In some embodiments, the systems and methods provide an interactive drumstick, which includes a lighting display located at a tip portion of the interactive drumstick, a motion detector contained at least partially within the drumstick, a processor and memory contained at least partially within the drumstick, and an interactive system stored within the memory of the drumstick. The interactive system includes a striking motion module that determines striking motions of the drumstick with respect to a virtual percussion instrument based on accessing information measured by the motion detector, and a display module that causes the lighting display to present a certain type of illumination based on the striking motions determined by the striking motion module.
Systems and methods for capturing and interpreting audio
As part of a system, a device is provided as part of a system, the device being for capturing vibrations produced by an object such as a musical instrument. The device has a first sensor placed in contact with a surface of the drum, such as a rim of the drum, and a second sensor placed at a fixed location relative to the drum, but not touching the drum. A method may be provided for interpreting the output of the sensors within the system, the method comprising identifying the onset of an audio event in audio data, selecting a window in the data for analysis, applying transforms to generate a representation of the audio event, and comparing that representation to expected representations in a model.
REMOTE TEACHING OF A PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT
A method, computer program product, and computer system are provided for remote teaching of a percussion instrument. The method includes recording reference movement data from a reference drumstick over a period of time, analyzing the reference movement data to generate teaching instructions for movement of a learner drumstick to emulate the reference movement data, and transmitting the teaching instructions to provide teaching instruction indications at the learner drumstick over a period of time. The method further includes receiving learning movement data from the learner drumstick in response to the teaching instruction indications, altering the timing of the teaching instruction indications based on a difference between learning movement data and reference movement data at a given point of time in the period of time of the reference movement data to compensate for differences between the learner movement data of the learner drumsticks and the reference data of the reference provider drumsticks.
Electronic illuminated steel pan percussion instrument
An electronic training steelpan percussion instrument includes integral illuminated color zones on the surface of the pan for teaching a player various notes and cadences. The player strikes the pan on the illuminated zone when it appears. The color zones for the instrument are provided as midi-pads that are configured to send and receive midi signals. The instrument may be operatively connected to a computer or speakers for recording and live performance implementations.
AUDIO OUTPUT DEVICE
An audio output device and associated output method produce sound effects that are more natural to a listener are given to a piece of music. A mode is selected from a plurality of modes, and first sound source data and second sound source data are respectively outputted as the sound effects with music data at an output level that is determined based on the mode selected by a mode selection unit.
