FRESHNESS-RETAINING NEGATIVE PRESSURE CONTAINER FOR FOOD
A container for storing food includes a container wall with a top edge and a lid. The lid includes a lid edge with a sealing profile which contacts the top edge of the container wall when the container is closed, an opening with a valve which can have air be sucked therethrough when the container is closed so as to obtain a negative pressure inside the container, the negative pressure being lower than atmospheric pressure, a lid interior region, and a flexible profile which attaches the lid interior region to the lid edge so as to form a variable-height support of the lid interior region. The flexible profile maintains the lid interior region in an upper position if the negative pressure is not present and allows for a movement of the lid interior region into a lower position if the negative pressure is present.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STORING FOOD
A system, apparatus, and method of storing food including a storage container having a base; a resilient liner nesting in the base, and a lid that interlockingly engages with the liner and/or base to close off access to foodstuffs retained in a compartment defined by the liner. A valve assembly in the lid is actuated by a pump to evacuate air from the liner's compartment and create a vacuum or near-vacuum condition therein. Apertures defined in the wall of the base allow air to flow into a compartment of the base as the resilient liner shrinks around the food. The closed storage container may be placed in a freezer to freeze the food therein. For defrosting, the base of the closed storage container is placed in a volume of water, some of which flows through the apertures in the base's wall and comes into direct contact with the liner.
Multi-serving product dispenser system
The invention relates to a product container (1) for multiple dosing of a food product, comprising an inner volume (3) with a food product, this inner volume (3) being pressurized with nitrogen gas; the product container (1) further comprising a rotatable outlet element (7, 30) able to move from a position where the outlet of the container is open to a position where the outlet of the container is closed, being able to open and close the volume of the container under pressure; the pressure inside the container being higher than the atmospheric pressure. The invention further relates to a multi-serving product dispenser system for multiple dosing of a food product, comprising a product container (1) according as disclosed and a dosing mechanism (50), the container (1) being connectable to the dosing mechanism (50) by means of the rotatable outlet element (7, 30) in a tight manner, the dosing mechanism (50) comprising a moveable element (23) which movement is sequential with that of the rotatable outlet element (7, 30) such that the product can be stored, and can be dispensed into a dosing chamber (70) in the dosing mechanism (50), keeping the inner volume (3) of the container at a pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure. The invention also relates to a method for dispensing a food product one or a plurality of times using a multi-serving dispenser system as described.

CONTAINER WITH VENTING OR MULTIPLE SEALING FEATURE
A container assembly includes a lid, a gasket connected with the lid, and a container body. The gasket includes an outer peripheral edge. The container body may include an inner surface, an upper opening defined by a peripheral top edge, and at least one discontinuity where the inner surface or the peripheral top edge deviates in shape from the outer peripheral edge of the gasket. The container assembly may also include an inner container where the gasket includes an inner edge spaced inwardly from the outer peripheral edge. The inner container includes a top opening defined by a peripheral upper edge, and is receivable in the container body. The outer peripheral edge of the gasket seals against an inner surface of the container body and the inner edge of the gasket seals against an internal surface or the peripheral upper edge of the inner container.
Perishable particle compression container
A perishable particle compression container stores and preserves a quantity of perishable particles, such as dry good particulates, coffee, tea, or tobacco. The compression container includes a container body and a lid. The container body includes a container-compression blade connected to a lateral wall, a container base, and a container-blade support. The lid includes a lid-compression blade connected to a lid base, and a lid-blade support. The lid-compression blade is positioned within the container body as the lid engages the container body. The lid pivots about the container body to allow the lid-compression blade to rotate around the container-blade support and compress the perishable particles within the container body.
