Directional noise suppression
11508348 · 2022-11-22 · ·

Systems and methods of providing improved directional noise suppression in an electronic device implement a technique that specifies a direction or speaker of interest, determines the directions corresponding to speakers not lying in the direction of interest, beam forms the reception pattern of the device microphone array to focus in the direction of interest and suppresses signals from the other directions, creating beam formed reception data. A spatial mask is generated as a function of direction relative to the direction of interest. The spatial mask emphasizes audio reception in the direction of interest and attenuates audio reception in the other directions. The beam formed reception data is then multiplied by the spatial mask to generate an audio signal with directional noise suppression.

Methods and apparatuses for detecting user speech are described. In one example, a method for detecting user speech includes receiving a microphone output signal corresponding to sound received at a microphone and identifying a spoken vowel sound in the microphone signal. The method further includes outputting an indication of user speech detection responsive to identifying the spoken vowel sound.

Systems and methods for suppressing sound leakage

A speaker comprises a housing, a transducer residing inside the housing, and at least one sound guiding hole located on the housing. The transducer generates vibrations. The vibrations produce a sound wave inside the housing and cause a leaked sound wave spreading outside the housing from a portion of the housing. The at least one sound guiding hole guides the sound wave inside the housing through the at least one sound guiding hole to an outside of the housing. The guided sound wave interferes with the leaked sound wave in a target region. The interference at a specific frequency relates to a distance between the at least one sound guiding hole and the portion of the housing.

Vehicle wheel including wavelength tube member

A vehicle wheel including a wavelength tube member may include spokes, a cylindrical rim configured to connect both circumferential portions of the spokes, and a wavelength tube member accommodated on the rim between the first and second circumferential portions of the spokes and configured to cancel sound wave generated in a cavity formed between the rim and a tire, wherein the wavelength tube member may include a rim seating portion being in surface-contact with and accommodated on an external surface of the rim; and a plurality of wavelength tube portions formed on the rim seating portion.

SILENCING DEVICE AND AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM

A silencing device and an air supply system according to an embodiment of the present invention include a resonance silencer provided at a position connected to a space in which the sound source is located within the air supply system in order to silence the noise generated from the sound source in the housing, in which in a case where a resonance wavelength of the resonance silencer alone is denoted by λ, a distance by which the resonance silencer is separated from the sound source is less than λ/2. A fundamental resonance frequency of the resonance silencer is equal to or less than an acoustic upper limit frequency determined according to a size of the housing.
