A baby bathing system including a bathing tub, having a reservoir and a bath basin connected to the reservoir by a weir discharging bath water from the reservoir into the bath basin. A baby bath support insert is received within the bath basin downstream of the reservoir, the baby bath support insert having a flexible seat and a base projection projecting from the flexible seat towards the bath basin. The base projection is conformally seated against an interior surface of the bath basin and supports the flexible seat raised from the interior surface of the bath basin with the baby bath support insert received in the bath basin. The base projection includes at least one aperture extending through the base projection and disposed so that bath water from under the flexible seat communicates through the base projection with outer sides of the bath basin.

An apparatus includes a person-supporting structure including a first surface, configured to face a person while the person-supporting structure supports the person, and a second surface behind the first surface. The apparatus further includes a cover coupled to the second surface of the person-supporting structure and configured to contain water between the cover and the person-supporting structure such that the water transfers heat to the person-supporting structure. One or more embodiments are disclosed for an infant bathing apparatus that fits in any sized bathtub for bathing a newborn, an infant, or a toddler and further allows a parent to sit in the bathtub during bath time. The infant bathing apparatus comprises a frame, a sling, one or more straps, and a stand. The frame is rigid and made of a buoyant material to stay afloat on top of the water and further defines an opening within which the sling is placed and removably connected to the frame. The sling holds and supports the baby within the frame. The one or more straps connect to the frame and may have suction cups that secure the frame to the sides of the bathtub. The stand is connected to the frame and rests on the floor of the bathtub. A parent may sit comfortably within the bathtub either with the stand attached to the frame or remove the stand from the frame once sitting inside the bathtub.

An upright massage tub can be converted into a standard bathtub. The upright massage tub is designed so as users can safely and easily enter the tub in a step/sit motion, sitting themselves upright in a natural, ergonomic position (at approximately a standard chair height). This upright design is also better for user assistants, putting them in a better ergonomic position while they assist users in bathing. This upright massage tub design also includes a vertically adjustable hub, housing a water jet that can deliver a proximity source of water-jet flow.

In one aspect, a freestanding, portable raised tub for infants, toddlers and young children is provided herein which includes: a basin with a base and an upstanding side wall bounding the base; a plurality of legs secured to the basin; a rigid panel pivotably connected to the basin so as to be angularly adjustable relative thereto; and, an adjustable guard pivotably connected to the rigid panel so as to be angularly adjustable relative thereto, the guard extending continuously from a first location on the rigid panel to a second location on the rigid panel, the first and second locations being spaced apart.

In one aspect, a freestanding, portable raised tub for infants, toddlers and young children is provided herein which includes: a basin with a base and an upstanding side wall bounding the base; a plurality of legs secured to the basin; a rigid panel pivotably connected to the basin so as to be angularly adjustable relative thereto; and, an adjustable guard pivotably connected to the rigid panel so as to be angularly adjustable relative thereto, the guard extending continuously from a first location on the rigid panel to a second location on the rigid panel, the first and second locations being spaced apart.

A bath tub 100 for neonatal bathing including a backrest 112 that provides support for the baby at an inclined position, and a seat 152 to cooperate with the backrest 112 to flex the baby's hips to suppress the baby's urge to sit up or squirm. Embodiments may include side supports 136, 138 and/or stabilizer ribs 166, 168 to resist baby rotation about the seat 152. The tub 100 may be structured to reduce leverage to the baby to resist baby's turning over during a bath. A drain path 180 is desirably provided to maintain thermal equilibrium in the water during a bath. A system 240 may include a plurality of bathing accessories and a disposable sterile liner 264 to permit reuse of the tub 100, and/or an optional storage bag 268 to store the tub 100, and even a system 240, at a convenient location.
