The present invention provides an elongated active thermo-regulated neonatal transportable incubator (ANTI), having a main longitudinal axis with a proximal end and an opposite distal end comprising adjacent to at least one of the ends a temperature regulating vent (TRV). The TRV is configured to stream air from one end towards the opposite end substantially along the axis, and the ANTI is configured, by means of size and shape, to accommodate the neonate in parallel to the axis. Further the ANTI can be configured by means of size shape and material to at least partially inserted into an MRD having an open bore in its longitudinal axis, further accommodating the neonate parallel to the MRD bore. An incubator with a temperature regulating vent located outside the incubator and its base.

MULTIBAND FREQUENCY TARGETING FOR NOISE ATTENUATION

Embodiments include systems with active sound canceling properties, fenestration units with active sound canceling properties, retrofit units with active sound canceling properties and related methods. In an embodiment a system can include a sound cancellation device include a sensing element to detect vibration of a transparent pane and/or a sound input device configured to detect sound incident on the transparent pane, as well as a vibration generator configured to vibrate the transparent pane and a sound cancellation control module. The sound cancellation control module can evaluate the detected vibration of the transparent pane at two or more discrete frequency bands. The sound cancellation control module can cause the vibration generator to vibrate the transparent pane causing destructive interference with sound waves at the two or more discrete frequency bands. Other embodiments are also included herein.

A partial enclosure for inhibiting sound passing into and out of the partial enclosure includes an absorber-barrier or an absorber-barrier-absorber, each made from sound absorbing material and sound barrier material and arranged to form the partial enclosure. The enclosure also includes an adaptive frequency matched sound-masking system. The absorber-barrier or absorbed-barrier-absorber is positioned to block or inhibit unwanted sound from various positions of a source of the unwanted sound, or motion of the source of the unwanted sound. The adaptive frequency matched sound-masking system includes a sound generating device arranged on or in the partial enclosure to emit anti-noise signal to cancel or inhibit the unwanted sound.

A shaped acoustic absorber assembly is provided with broadband absorption. The assembly includes an acoustic panel defining a plurality of apertures, and a plurality of tubular quarter-wavelength resonators of variable lengths provided respectively aligned with the plurality of apertures and coupled to the acoustic panel. Each tubular quarter-wavelength resonator includes at least one perimeter boundary wall extending in a longitudinal length direction and defining a chamber cavity having a chamber volume. A first end defines an opening aligned with one of the plurality of apertures and coupled to the acoustic panel. A second end is provided opposite the first end, and is sealed and configured for being located adjacent a target substrate. Methods are provided for shaping the tubular quarter-wavelength resonators to coordinate with a geometry and dimensions of a target substrate and then preserving a shape of the tubular quarter-wavelength resonators in a structurally rigid configuration.

An automatic lacing system for an article of footwear includes a motor, a gear train coupled to the motor, a speaker, and a speaker controller in communication with the speaker and the motor. The speaker controller is configured to instruct the speaker to output a damping sound wave in response to activation of the motor to reduce or cancel sound generated by the motor or the gear train.

Low frequency acoustic absorption and soft boundary effect with frequency-discretized active panels

An active sound barrier has at least one passive sound absorber at or near a boundary location. A microphone provides an output to a frequency division module, in which a plural of frequencies are filtered to provide outputs corresponding to frequency segments of the receiving transducer output at respective ones of the frequencies. An active driving circuit drives plural speakers or output transducers at respective ones of the frequencies, with at least a subset of the speakers or output transducers at or close to the barrier. The speakers or output transducers cooperate with the passive sound absorber to reduce noise across a wide frequency band as well as to effect an electrically switchable soft boundary.
