Rotating shower chair
Disclosed is a rotatable shower chair that couples to the side wall of a bathtub. The platform for the rotatable shower chair cannot be moved until the platform is uncoupled from the bathtub sidewall. The seat is rotatable, allowing an individual to control rotation by movement of individual's body. A grab rail is placed along one side of the seat platform to facilitate repositioning by the bather.
Lift assist systems and methods for adjustable seats
Lift-assist systems for adjustable objects are provided, which could include at least one of an enclosed spring and a substantially flat, elongated torsion spring. Suitable substantially flat springs could be configured to twist and untwist up to between 45-135 degrees when the seat or other object is adjusted between stowed and use configurations. In some preferred aspects, the spring could be made from a tempered steel material.
Folding shower seat
A shower seat includes a frame having a first wall mount, a second wall mount spaced from the first wall mount, a rear support secured to and extending between the first and second wall mounts, a first rear leg, a second rear leg spaced from the first rear leg, a first side support, a second side support spaced from the first side support, a first front leg, and a second front leg spaced from the first front leg. The first and second wall mounts are configured to secure the frame to a wall. The first and second side supports are rotatable relative to the first and second wall mounts and the rear support. A seat is secured to the frame, with the frame configured to move the seat between a use position and a stowed position.
Bathing Chair Assembly
A bathing chair assembly for sitting level on an uneven surface includes a chair that may be positioned in a shower thereby facilitating the chair to support a physically disabled user in the shower. A plurality of legs is provided and each of the legs is removably coupled to the chair. Thus, each of the legs may support the chair in the shower. Each of the legs is positioned at a selected height with respect to the chair. Thus, the chair may sit level on an uneven surface.
Shower Chair Assembly
A shower chair assembly for facilitation of foot care includes a framework, which is selectively positionable in a shower enclosure. A seat is engaged to an upper end of the framework for seating of a user. A backrest is hingedly engaged to rear of the framework, proximate to the upper end, so that the backrest is selectively reclinable. The backrest supports a back of the user. A footrest is engaged to and extends from a front of the framework. The footrest is selectively positionable between the upper end and a lower end of the framework and is supports feet of the user to facilitate completion of hygienic and beautification tasks on the feet.
Lift Assist Shower Chair
A waterproof chair for use when bathing is provided. The chair may include an on-board system for raising and lowering the chair between sitting and raised positions. The chair may be used by elderly persons to assist them in sitting and standing in a shower, for example. The chair may include a rechargeable battery for powering a linear actuator for moving the chair between sitting and raised positions. The chair may also be adapted to allow a seat on the chair to swivel relative to a base of the chair. The chair may include an automatic lock to restrict relative movement of the seat and the base when the seat is being raised, and then automatically unlock to again allow for swivel motion when the seat has been moved back into its sitting position. Hydraulic and pneumatic embodiments are also disclosed.
Modular bathroom structure
The various embodiments herein provide a modular shower seat connected to a wall structure comprising a mounting base component, a connecting elongated component and a primary functional component. The mounting base component is fixed against a wall structure through a holding medium. The mounting base component comprises a vertical base plate. The vertical base plate comprises a plurality of fastener holes and a plurality of vertical slots. The connecting elongated component is attached to the mounting base component through a plurality of fastening medium. The connecting elongated component comprises a pair of vertical bases. Each vertical base is orthogonally fixed to the vertical base plate by fitting the vertically opposite brackets into the vertically opposite slots of the vertical base plate. The primary functional component is fixed over the connecting elongated component.
Shower Bench Seat
A shower bench seat configured for use in a shower area is provided. The shower bench seat including an inboard assembly configured for placement within the shower area and an outboard assembly configured for placement adjacent the shower area. An intermediate assembly is configured to connect the inboard assembly to the outboard assembly. The intermediate assembly is further configured to retain a shower curtain within the shower area thereby facilitating use of the shower bench seat by a user in a seated position and simultaneously facilitating retention of water within the shower area.
Under mud shower pan with seat
Described is a multi-piece shower pan. The multi-piece shower pan includes a shower pan piece and a seat piece. The seat piece is formed to overlap a portion of the show pan piece during installation. The shower pan piece includes a drain hole designed to fit a drain pipe such that when the drain pipe is fastened to the shower pan piece, the drain pipe extends ½ to 2 inches above the bottom of the shower pan piece. Thus, when cement or other adhesive is floated on the interior surface of the shower pan, tiles of varying thickness can be installed in such a manner that the top surface of the tiles are flush with the top portion of the drain pipe. The shower pan piece also has a water dam with a fin as added protection against water migration outside the shower pan.
SHOWER CHAIR WITH ERGONOMIC SUPPORT AND WASHDOWN FEATURES
An improved shower chair having washdown surfaces, reconfigurable arrangements, and enhanced safety features. The shower chair includes a backrest that removably attaches to an underside of the shower chair offset from, and arranged below, a seat pan. Removing the backrest exposes an upper support crossbar that runs from one side of the shower chair to the other. The washdown surfaces include a sloped surface arranged in the seat pan that is angled downward from a front of the shower chair toward a rear of the shower chair and a sloped surface arranged in the backrest of the shower chair angled from a rear of the shower chair toward a front of the shower chair under the seat pan. The washdown surfaces provide an unrestricted fluid flow path running from the seat pan to the backrest and then to the floor.
