A stand-alone shower system includes a cylindrical shower compartment with a transparent, translucent, or opaque wall and door, one or more specially configured shower nozzles, an optional storage compartment, and an optional surrounding cylindrical privacy curtain.

An emergency shower test device for testing an emergency shower includes: a collection container; an inlet pipe, which has at an upper end thereof a receiving section for a head of the emergency shower, which opens at a lower end thereof into the collection container and which is vertically adjustable by a lockable adjusting device, the inlet pipe being largely retractable into the collection container; a drainage system arranged in a lower region of the collection container for emptying the collection container; and a frame in which the collection container is arranged in an elevated position. The inlet pipe has a constant diameter for fully accommodating the head of the emergency shower, the adjusting device including a reversed rope with a counterweight adapted to a weight of the inlet pipe.

Apparatus and methods for integrated emergency wash systems. Various embodiments include thermostatically controlled mixing valves arranged so as to permit load carrying by the body of the valve. Further, the integrated wash systems are especially suited for use in laboratories and manufacturing settings in which available space is at a premium.

A shower curtain restrainer for use with a shower curtain, includes an elongated body having an engagement end and an opposing weight end. An engagement member is coupled to the engagement end and is couplable to the shower curtain intermediate a top edge and a bottom edge thereof. A weight element is coupled to the weight end. When coupled to a shower curtain, a fulcrum point is formed at a rim of a bathtub contacted by the elongated body intermediate the engagement end and the weight end. This fulcrum imparts a horizontal force on the attached shower curtain, outwardly toward the rim.

Analysis of a given decontamination situation may direct responders to set up a given Contamination Reduction Zone and follow protocols for targeted mitigation of contamination found on individual responders working the scene. By targeting and controlling the contamination, significantly fewer resources are used in response to a situation.

A multiple stage discharge system for a gravity-fed emergency shower system is provided herein. The multiple stage discharge system includes a drain; a first opening defined by the drain; a second opening defined by the drain; and a valve mechanism coupled to the second opening to permit fluid in a fluid tank of the gravity-fed emergency shower system to flow at least partly through the drain via the second opening in response to a fluid level in the fluid tank decreasing to at or below a threshold fluid level.

A device may be provided for preventing fatal bathroom accidents relating to falls. Such a shower fall prevention device may be attached to a fixing point on a ceiling of a shower and may have two arm pit hooks pivotably connected to the fixing point. It may further comprise a rod connected between the fixing point and a bar, where arm pit hooks may be connected on right and left ends of the bar. The device may further comprise a strong rubber band or an extendable and retractable belt, connected between the fixing point and the rod. The device may further comprise a handle next to the rod and connected to the bar via an extension of a free end of one of the arm pit hooks, and may further comprise a cushion formed on an extension of a free end of one of the arm pit hooks.

A door security system and method may increase the home security for elderly people without limiting the privacy of or convenience for residents. The method comprises detecting closing of a door; keeping a first locking mechanism of said door in an open position for a first predetermined period of time after said closing; after said predetermined period of time, changing said first locking mechanism into a locked position. The method may further comprise recognizing motion of a person on a door of a house through a camera provided in or near the door; producing streaming footage; sending the streaming footage to a central processing server; processing the streaming footage for face recognition purpose and checking against several; and storing all data on the server.

Swivel shower including a shower body with a base body, a swivel body including a shower outlet and mounted for swivel movement relative to the base body between a rest position and an operating position, a shower fluid inlet and a fluid flow path from the shower fluid inlet to the shower outlet. A shut-off valve is arranged within the shower body in the fluid flow path between the shower fluid inlet and the shower outlet and blocks the fluid flow path as a function of a swivel position of the swivel body, wherein the fluid flow path is completely blocked in the rest position of the swivel body and is completely unblocked in the operating position of the swivel body.

The present invention describes a tractor trailer shower unit which provides a shower enclosure having shower head and floor drain features. The shower unit also provides water heating and pumping equipment as well as a waste water collection tank, making it particularly suited for use within a tractor trailer rig. The shower unit is powered by the electrical system of the tractor trailer rig.
