An inverted bottle hanging device and method of manufacturing and using the device is disclosed. The inverted bottle hanging device comprises a cord for hanging the device around a bathroom fixture and an elastomeric base unit which includes a bottle hole adapted in size and shape to receive a bottle and maintaining the bottle in a fixed position relative to the bottle hole at least in part by way of friction between the base unit and the bottle. The elastomeric base unit includes one or more cord holes adapted in size and shape to receive the cord for hanging the device around the bathroom fixture. The method includes inserting the bottle into the bottle hole such that the elastomeric base unit deforms and causes the surface area of the elastomeric base unit in contact with the bottle to increase, increasing the frictional force holding the bottle in the fixed position.

The socket is attached to the soap bottle socket, which is then securely held by an interlocking mechanism of the socket. The interlocking mechanism can be, for example, a threaded locking system. Once the soap bottle is secured by the socket, the soap dispenser and bottle are inverted together, such that the bottom surface of the tray is resting on a flat surface and the soap bottle is upside-down. The socket also includes an outlet that opens towards the tray. When inverted, the soap from the soap bottle is dispensed from the outlet into the tray.

This invention provides an apparatus which comprises two or more vertical members and a horizontal member attached to or integral with each of the vertical members. Each vertical member comprises a lower arm comprising a support member and an attachment means for fixably attaching the arm to the vertical member; and an upper arm comprising a retaining member, an attachment means for movably attaching the arm to the vertical member, and a vertical movement actuator.

The lower arm and the upper arm are perpendicular or nearly perpendicular to the plane defined by the vertical members and the horizontal member, and wherein the lower arm and upper arm on each vertical member are in alignment to support the same container.
