AEROSOL GENERATING APPARATUS
Provided is an assembly for use in an apparatus for heating aerosolizable material to volatilize at least one component of the aerosolizable material to generate an inhalable aerosol. The assembly having a structure delimiting an opening through which aerosolizable material can be removably inserted into the apparatus, a door coupled to the structure and movable between an open position where access to the opening is unrestricted and a closed position where access to the opening is restricted, and a latching arrangement configured to hold the door in at least one of the open position and the closed position when the door is in the one of the open position and the closed position until an external force is applied, in use, to release the latching arrangement.
AEROSOL PROVISION DEVICE
An aerosol provision device is described. A housing delimits a first opening at a first end of the housing through which to receive aerosol generating material and delimits a second opening at a second end of the housing. At least one heater is arranged within the housing and configured to heat the aerosol generating material received within the housing thereby to generate an aerosol. A hollow member is arranged within the housing and extends at least partially between the second and first openings. The hollow member has an end that faces the second opening and is configured to encourage the formation of liquid droplets.
AEROSOL PROVISION DEVICE
An aerosol provision device is described. A housing delimits a first opening at a first end of the housing through which to receive aerosol generating material and delimits a second opening at a second end of the housing. At least one heater is arranged within the housing and configured to heat the aerosol generating material received within the housing thereby to generate an aerosol. A hollow member is arranged within the housing and extends at least partially between the second and first openings. The hollow member has an end that faces the second opening and is configured to encourage the formation of liquid droplets.
AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE AND SYSTEM WITH RESIDUE DETECTOR
An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a cavity configured to receive an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-forming substrate; a heater configured to heat the aerosol-forming substrate received in the cavity; a power supply; a residue detector for sensing aerosol-forming substrate residue in the cavity or on the heater; and a controller configured to: control a supply of power from the power supply to the heater to heat the aerosol-forming substrate received in the cavity, receive signals from the residue detection means indicative of an amount of aerosol-forming substrate residue in the cavity or on the heater, and determine an indication of the amount of aerosol-forming substrate residue in the cavity or on the heater based on one or more signals received from the residue detection means. An aerosol-generating system and a residue detector device are also provided.

An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a cavity configured to receive an aerosol-generating article including an aerosol-forming substrate; a heater configured to heat the aerosol-forming substrate received in the cavity; a power supply; a residue detector for sensing aerosol-forming substrate residue in the cavity or on the heater; and a controller configured to: control a supply of power from the power supply to the heater to heat the aerosol-forming substrate received in the cavity, receive signals from the residue detection means indicative of an amount of aerosol-forming substrate residue in the cavity or on the heater, and determine an indication of the amount of aerosol-forming substrate residue in the cavity or on the heater based on one or more signals received from the residue detection means. An aerosol-generating system and a residue detector device are also provided.
CASING FOR APPARATUS, APPARATUS AND METHOD
A casing for apparatus for heating aerosolizable material to volatilise at least one component of the aerosolizable material to form an aerosol for inhalation by a user, the casing comprising: a sleeve for surrounding internal components of the apparatus; and a liner for the sleeve to disperse heat and control the distribution of temperature across the sleeve when the apparatus heats the aerosolizable material.

An electronic cigarette water tank includes a container for holding a liquid for filtering vapor from a vaporizer of an electronic cigarette, the container including upper and lower walls; an inhalation tube inside the container for releasing vapor from the tank, the inhalation tube having an upstream end located above a liquid level within the container; a vapor tube inside the container for discharging vapor into the liquid, the vapor tube having a downstream end located below a liquid level within the container; the inhalation tube having a substantially U-shape extending from the upstream end toward the lower wall and turning back to the upper wall; and the vapor tube having a substantially U-shape extending from the downstream end toward the upper wall and turning back to the lower wall; wherein the inhalation tube and the vapor tube have hydrophobic properties.
