The movable carriage includes a set of carriage signal paths configured to provide signals to the plurality of data storage devices. The apparatus includes a controller configured to power the plurality of data storage devices by selectively routing the signals via the set of magazine signal paths or the set of carriage signal paths.

The optical disc drive may further include a disc clamp assembly configured to hold an optical disc on the spindle hub, the disc clamp assembly including a hub clamp partially comprised within a clamp carriage. The hub clamp of the optical disc drive may be biasedly drawn toward the spindle hub when in a first position and biasedly drawn toward the clamp carriage when in a second position. The bias may be generated by at least one ferromagnetic material integrated into the hub clamp and at least one ferromagnetic material integrated into the spindle hub.

The method includes detecting a composition of a fluid environment in the disk player and detecting a pressure of the fluid environment in the disk player.

The module housing forms at least a part of a library housing. The service tray is removably positionable within the module housing. The service tray is configured to releasably retain the media mover when the media mover is in the removable position so that the service tray and the media mover are movable as an integral unit out of and into the module housing. The service tray includes a tray body and at least one locking mechanism that is movable relative to the tray body between a retracted position when the at least one locking mechanism is positioned not to engage the media mover, and a fully extended position when the at least one locking mechanism is positioned to retain the media mover relative to the tray body.

Second support claw is disposed so as to be shifted from third support claw in a stacking direction of disc by a thickness of one disc, and to move from storage position to protrusion position at a timing different from a timing of third support claw.
