VIDEO RECORDING APPARATUS WITH PRE-EVENT CIRCULATION RECORDING FUNCTION
A video recording apparatus with a pre-event circulation recording function is provided. A limitation on memory capacity may be removed by recording a pre-event video directly on a nonvolatile storage medium, such as a hard disk drive (HDD), without using a buffer according to a circulation recording method during pre-event recording performed to record videos before and after an event occurs.
Using cache to manage errors in primary storage
An occurrence of at least one storage error is determined in an addressable portion of a primary storage storing a block of data. In response to determining the occurrence of the at least one storage error, it is determined whether the block of data is available in cache storage. In response to determining the block of data is cached, the cached block of data is used rather than the block of data from the addressable portion of the primary storage.
RECORDER WITH RETROSPECTIVE CAPTURE
A device and method allows a user to create a mark corresponding to a moment in time of a captured recording to provide later viewing of a portion of the recording corresponding to the moments in time.
APPARATUS FOR RECORDING AUDIO INFORMATION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME
The present invention relates to an apparatus capable of recording audio information and a method for controlling the apparatus, the apparatus comprising: a display unit; an input unit for receiving an input of audio information; a detection unit for detecting at least one of a surrounding environment and a bio-signal; and a control unit for recording inputted audio information, extracting a keyword from the recorded audio information, generating image information on the basis of at least one of an analysis result of the recorded audio information and the detection result of the detection unit, and displaying tag information, in which the keyword and the image information area combined, so as to correspond to the recorded audio information.
Multi-channel binaural recording and dynamic playback
Methods and systems are provided for enhanced audio experiences in VR/AR applications. The apparatuses of this disclosure are adapted to record multiple binaural stereo pairs and play back select binaural pairs corresponding to users' head positions. A substantially spherical microarray is utilized in various embodiments for recording multiple binaural stereo pairs. A VR/AR headset is further adapted to track a user's head positions and dynamically play back binaural sound pairs corresponding to the head positions.
Adjusting occupancies of a set of buffers
The respective occupancies of a set of audio buffers are controlled via a common target occupancy value common to all the buffers in the set. This common target may take non-integral values. For each buffer, the difference is taken between the occupancy value of the buffer and the common target occupancy value. A sample is dropped or repeated as the difference exceeds half a sample. A recursive sum is formed of the fractional parts of the difference measures from the set of buffers and the recursive sum is used to adjust the common target occupancy value, within a selected range of values.
Recording and playback device
The recording and playback device includes a recording unit configured to record AV data on a recording medium as an AV data file, a file management unit configured to provide an access system depending on a use to the AV data file, an updating unit configured to update file information about access restrictions on the AV data file depending on the access system being provided depending on a use, based on a rule associated with the access system, and a communication unit configured to open the AV data relating to the updated file information to the outside.
Media cache cleaning based on workload
This disclosure is related to media cache cleaning based on workload. In some examples, a read-modify-write (RMW) operation may merge new data with existing data and the merge may be interrupted without losing the amount of work already processed. This can be particularly useful for shingled magnetic recording (SMR) systems that utilize a large cache, such as a media cache, that can accumulate many entries that might need to be merged with existing data. An RMW operation can be interrupted such that a host command does not timeout.
Recording apparatus and method of controlling recording apparatus
A recording apparatus including: a recording unit configured to record on a recording medium a file that includes sequentially obtained data; a repair unit configured to repair a predetermined file that needs to be repaired out of files recorded on the recording medium; and a control unit configured to control the recording unit so that recording of data is stopped in response to a drop of a free capacity of the recording medium to a predetermined capacity during recording of the data, the control unit being configured to determine the predetermined capacity based on a data amount necessary to repair the predetermined file that is recorded on the recording medium, to thereby control the recording unit so that the recording of the data is stopped in response to a drop of the free capacity of the recording medium to the predetermined capacity during the recording of the data.
Host video recording by baseboard management controller (BMC)
Aspects of the disclosure relate to systems and methods of recording video frames from a computing device by a management device. The management device may receive video frames from the computing device. In response to receiving the video frames, the management device may process the video frames in a first-in-first out (FIFO) order to generate processed video frames according to a recording method, store the processed video frames in the FIFO order in the memory of the management device, and then release the memory occupied by some of the processed video frames in the FIFO order based on a memory releasing condition defined by the recording method to store the processed video frame. The memory releasing condition is determined by multiple optimized parameters of the recording method. The recording method may be a sliding window recording method, a multiple-window fixed size recording method, or a multiple-window dynamic size recording method.
