Information processing device, information recording medium, information processing method, and program
A configuration for reducing a possibility of data recording or reproduction being unperformable due to a reading error of disc management information is realized. A data processing unit records management information corresponding to a first surface as main management information on the first surface which is a data recording surface on which data recording is performed and further records mirror management information having the same content as the main management information on a second surface different from the first surface. The management information is, for example, a temporary disc management structure (TDMS) including defect region information of one surface of a disc. When one piece of management information between the main management information and the mirror management information is successfully read, data recording or reproduction can be correctly performed.
STORAGE DEVICE AND STORAGE METHOD
according to one embodiment, in a storage device, a selection circuit selects one mapping rule from a plurality of mapping rules in which each of bit labels having a bit length of (n+1) or more is mapped to n M-ary symbols, when M is defined as an integer of 3 or more and n is defined as an integer of or more. A first conversion circuit converts a data block in data into an M-ary symbol sequence using the selected one mapping rule. A second conversion circuit converts the converted M-ary symbol sequence into an M-step pulse width signal. The recording medium records the converted M-step pulse width signal. A readback circuit equalizes the signal read from the recording medium to the M-ary symbol sequence and restores the data.
Information recording medium and reproduction device
An optical disk (100) of the present invention includes (i) a medium information region (101) (a) in which type identification information is recorded by recesses and/or protrusions which are formed by a given modulation method and whose lengths are longer than a length of an optical system resolution limit of a playback device and (b) in which first address information is recorded in a first address data format and (ii) a data region (102) (a) in which content data is recorded by recesses and/or protrusions which are formed by the given modulation method and which include a recess and/or a protrusion whose length is shorter than the length of the optical system resolution limit and (b) in which second address information is recorded in a second address data format.
RECORDING APPARATUS, SERVER APPARATUS, RECORDING METHOD, PROGRAM AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A data recording apparatus including: a data reading device configured to read data from a first recording medium and configured to store data and first management data for managing the data by file; a data recording device configured to record data on a second recording medium; a management data producing device configured to produce second management data for managing data recorded on the second recording medium based on the first management data of the first recording medium on which the data recorded on the second recording medium has been recorded; a data determining device configured to determine data unrecorded on the second recording medium by comparing the first management data read by the data reading device from the first recording medium with the second management data recorded on the second recording medium; a control device configured to read the data determined by the data determining device from the first recording medium and cause the recording device to record the read data onto the second recording medium; and a display device configured to display the recording status of data, managed by the first management data read by the reading device from the first recording medium, on the second recording medium, wherein the recording status includes one of recording of data complete, recording of data in progress, and recording of data yet to begin.
Magnetic disk device and read/write processing method
According to one embodiment, a magnetic disk device includes a disk, a head configured to write data to the disk and read data from the disk, and a controller configured to write position information of the head when writing a first track of the disk and a second track partially overlapping with the first track in a first region of the first track at which read processing on the first track is started.
SIMPLIFIED DATA ENTRY
Disclosed are embodiments of systems and methods that allow for simplified creation of a calendar event. In embodiments, an entry may be provided via a simplified entry form. In embodiments, the present invention simplifies the creation of an event through natural language parsing. Embodiments may enable creation of an event for a calendaring application and/or within an application that is not primarily a calendaring application, such as, by way of example, an email application, an SMS/text messaging application, an instant messaging (IM) application, and a social networking application.
Storage device and controller
A storage device includes a recording medium, a first memory storing first data read from the recording medium, and a controller. The controller searches for read target data in the first data by executing a parity check on second data that is in the first data and starts at a first position, while executing the parity check, determining whether or not an interruption condition is satisfied, storing the second data in a second memory when the parity check completes without the interruption condition being satisfied and a result of a completed parity check satisfies a first condition, and executing a parity check on third data that is in the first data and starts at a second position, responsive to the interruption condition being satisfied and responsive to the result of the completed parity check not satisfying the first condition.
Data-center drive with split-actuator that increases read/write performance via data striping
A method for writing data in a disk drive having actuators each controlling arms extending over disk surfaces, including: receiving a write command from a host; receiving from the host data; dividing the data into data blocks; determining: a first surface from the disk surfaces where data is written by a first head of an arm controlled by a first actuator of the actuators; and a second surface from the disk surfaces where data is written by a second head of an arm controlled by a second actuator of the actuators; determining storage blocks of each of the first and the second surface; and writing first data blocks of the divided data blocks to the determined storage blocks of the first surface using the first head while writing second data blocks of the divided data blocks to the determined storage blocks of the second surface using the second head.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A configuration is realized that allows reproduction control on the basis of age at the time of reproduction by recording information regarding age permitted for reproduction corresponding to media recorded content. A clip AV stream file storing content to be reproduced acquired from input data including MPEG-2 TS format data or MMT format data and information regarding age permitted for reproduction corresponding to content acquired from the input data are placed into a playlist file, a clip information file, a usage control information file, or other file and recorded in media. A reproduction apparatus reads the information regarding age permitted for reproduction corresponding to the content to be reproduced from the playlist file or other file and compares the information regarding age permitted for reproduction with user's age information, thus allowing for content reproduction to be controlled.
Information processing device, information processing method, and program
Data reproduction is performed in a mode decided on the basis of disc type information which is record data of a disc. A reading rate compatible with a physical format of a disc is compared with a reading rate compatible with a disc type, and in a case where the reading rates do not coincide with each other, data read from the disc at the physical format compatible rate is stored in the buffer, and the reproduction process is performed using the data output from the buffer at the disc type compatible rate. In a case where the physical format is BD-R or BD-RE, and the logical format is a logical format compatible with BDMV-UHD, the emulation mode reproduction accompanied with the rate conversion using the buffer is performed.
