The hard disk device comprises a storage unit and a protection unit; wherein a hard disk body stores information in the blockchain; the protection unit comprises a protective case, an airbag and an interface extension board; the airbag is laid flat on the inner bottom of the protective case; the interface extension board passes through a side wall of the protective case and is bolted to the protective case; a dust board in a first through hole of the interface extension board is located at the port on the interface extension board close to the hard disk body when the hard disk body is not placed in the protective case; the dust board is connected to the inside of the first through hole by a first spring.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE THAT INCLUDES A COMPOSITION THAT CAN ACTIVELY GENERATE AND RELEASE A GASEOUS OXIDIZING AGENT COMPONENT INTO AN INTERIOR SPACE OF THE ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND RELATED SUBASSEMBLIES AND METHODS

The present disclosure relates to electronic devices that include a composition that actively generates a gaseous oxidizing agent component within the interior gas space of the electronic device. The present disclosure also involves related methods.

MAGNETICALLY REPOSITIONABLE CASSETTES WITHIN A DATA STORAGE DRIVE

The presently disclosed technology is directed to maximizing cleanliness, reliability, and space efficiency within a jukebox-style HDD, while minimizing overall cost of the HDD. In an effort to reduce the movement of a robotic arm assembly, cassettes within a jukebox-style HDD may be configured to be magnetically repositionable to replace some of the movement of the robotic arm assembly, without adding another significant source of potential mechanical failure within the HDD enclosure. Further, the overall number of moving parts is reduced, which may improve reliability of the HDD, as well as cleanliness within the HDD enclosure.

Disclosed herein are sliders with segmented front bars, methods of manufacturing them, and data storage devices comprising them. In some embodiments, a slider comprises a segmented front bar, a leading pad, a shallow-edge surface, and a cavity. The segmented front bar includes a plurality of slots situated substantially perpendicular to the leading-edge surface of the slider. The leading pad is situated between the leading-edge surface of the slider and a trailing edge of the slider and is recessed from the segmented front bar. The cavity abuts the segmented front bar and is situated between the segmented front bar and the leading pad. The shallow-etch surface is situated between the cavity and the leading pad. A maximum depth of the plurality of slots relative to a non-recessed surface of the segmented front bar is less than a depth of the cavity relative to the non-recessed surface of the segmented front bar.

Removable disk clamp for read-write device in archival data storage library

A removable disk clamp assembly for mounting disk media on a motor-driven spindle of a magnetic read-write device includes a disk clamp and a mechanism for generating a predetermined force to press the disk media to a flange of the spindle such that the predetermined force can be repeatedly overcome by an applied counterforce to remove the disk clamp from engagement with a hub of the spindle. Such a mechanism may include a spring-loaded removable disk clamp assembly or a magnetic removable disk clamp assembly, and whereby a vacuum-driven chuck may be employed for disk and clamp handling purposes, all of which are suitable for implementation and use in a read-write device configured for use in an archival data storage system library such as in a cleanroom storage system.
