The present disclosure is directed to an aerosol delivery device and a holder for use with a removable substrate cartridge. In one implementation, the holder includes a main body defining a proximal end and a distal end, and an outer sleeve configured to slide relative to the main body, the outer sleeve also defining a proximal end and a distal end. The outer sleeve is configured to slide to a use position, in which the proximal end of the main body extends beyond the proximal end of the outer sleeve and the distal end of the outer sleeve extends beyond the distal end of the main body, and a storage position, in which the distal end of the main body extends beyond the distal end of the outer sleeve and the proximal end of the outer sleeve substantially covers the proximal end of the main body.

The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.

An aerosol-generating device for use in an aerosol-generating system is provided, the aerosol-generating device including a cavity configured to receive an aerosol-generating article; a heat exchanger having a first portion proximate to the cavity and a second portion distal to the cavity for capturing heat from a lighter; and a retractable cover, wherein the retractable cover is movable from a first position in which the retractable cover covers the second portion of the heat-exchanger to a second position in which the second portion of the heat exchanger is exposed for heating by a lighter and wherein the retractable cover is configured to automatically return from the second position to the first position when the second portion of the heat exchanger reaches a threshold temperature.

A smoking cartridge of a gas-heated smoking article and its smoking articles are provided. The smoking cartridge includes a heat-not-burn smoking body and a mouth piece. The heat-not-burn smoking body is a column made of thermal conductive metal foil, wrapping tobacco and smoking liquid capsules. In a heating process of the heat-not-burn smoking body, the smoking liquid capsules release a smoking liquid and increase a vapor volume. A low-temperature cigarette is provided with an energy of burning propane gas or butane gas to smokers who are having difficulties to quit smoking, wherein the low-temperature cigarette produces a similar smoke with a taste of ordinary cigarettes. Since the heat-not-burn smoking body do not burn, the heat-not-burn smoking body reduces a variety of harmful components produced by the ordinary cigarettes due to tobacco combustion and thermal cracking, such as tar, carbon monoxide, cigarette ash and other harmful substances with traditional cigarette's combustion.
