A vacuum cleaner including a vacuum motor configured to draw an air flow through an air flow path of the vacuum cleaner; a dirt separator having dirt, receptacle; a display screen; and a controller configured to control images displayed on the screen. The dirt receptacle has a closed configuration in which it can receive dirt separated from the air flow, and an open configuration in which dirt contained in the dirt receptacle can be emptied therefrom. The controller is configured to display video instructions on the screen.

Systems and methods for providing a two-in-one vacuum cleaner are disclosed. In an exemplary embodiment, the system comprises a nozzle that is detachable from a rest of a vacuum cleaner. The nozzle is configured to perform as a vacuum nozzle of the vacuum cleaner when attached to the vacuum cleaner. The nozzle is also configured to perform as a robotic vacuum cleaner when detached from the vacuum cleaner.

A hand vacuum cleaner comprises a main body has a driving handle and houses a suction motor and fan assembly, the suction motor and fan assembly having a suction motor axis of rotation wherein the driving handle has a hand grip portion that extends upwardly and forwardly when the hand vacuum cleaner is oriented with the upper end above the lower end. Compared with the prior art, in the present invention, a detachable multi-purpose dust bin with a simple structure is disposed, so that the dust collection chamber of the vacuum cleaner is flexibly increased.

A tool for a surface cleaning apparatus, including a floor head including a floor facing surface which defines an inlet for receiving dirt-laden air, which inlet is generally positioned in a first plane P; a passage for carrying dirt-laden air from the floor head to the apparatus; a connecting member for connecting the tool to a surface cleaning apparatus, wherein the floor head and connecting member are pivotally connected about an axis A; and a blocking device for inhibiting pivotal movement of the connecting member about axis A. The blocking device is moveable to a blocking condition in which pivotal movement of the connecting member downwardly outside of a pre-determined use condition is inhibited.

A cleaner holder includes a charging stand having a battery accommodating space formed therein in which a battery detachably mounted to a cleaner is accommodated, wherein the battery accommodating space includes: a charging port selectively in contact with a battery terminal provided in the battery; a battery guide configured to perform guiding such that the battery comes into contact with the charging port; and an inlet which extends toward an upper side of the battery guide and through which the battery is inserted or withdrawn, and an upper end of the inlet is higher than an upper end of the battery accommodated in the battery accommodating space.
