PORTABLE DEVICE FOR ADMINISTERING A PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE LIQUID
Embodiments herein describe a portable device for administering a physiologically active liquid that includes a container for holding the liquid, pressurizing means for applying pressure to the liquid, an atomizer for atomizing the liquid, and an applicator for administering atomized liquid. The atomizer includes at least one nozzle through which liquid can be ejected from the container and an impact element on the nozzle outlet side that is functionally combined with the nozzle. Moreover, the atomizer is configured in such a way that, in a pressure range that can be generated with the pressurizing means, liquid emerging from the nozzle breaks up into droplets prior to striking the impact element.

AEROSOL-GENERATING APPARATUS, THERMAL DISTRIBUTION CASING, AND RELATED METHODS
An aerosol-generating apparatus includes a mouthpiece, an aerosolizing thermal reactor, and an air preheating passage. The aerosolizing thermal reactor has an air inlet upstream of an aerosol outlet, and includes an aerosolizable substance chamber and a thermal distribution casing. The thermal distribution casing surrounds the aerosolizable substance chamber and includes a laminate material with an at least three-layer construction including a metal middle layer between a metal outer layer and a metal inner layer. The thermal conductivity of the metal inner layer is at least double that of each of the metal outer and inner layers. The air preheating passage is located downstream of the air inlet and upstream of the aerosolizable substance chamber, and surrounds the aerosolizable substance chamber. The air preheating passage is defined by an air gap between the chamber outer wall and the metal inner layer.

Vapor insert for holding a vapor source
The present invention provides devices for holding one or more vapor sources in a media inhaler. The devices permit vapor from the one or more vapor sources to be introduced and entrained into a stream of inhaled media. The vapor insert device includes a hollow cylinder having a porous surface, an open anterior end, and an open posterior end. An anterior flange is attached to the open anterior end, and a posterior flange is attached to the open posterior end. The anterior flange and the posterior flange each have a diameter that is larger than a diameter of the hollow cylinder to form a circumferential space around the hollow cylinder.
