Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus is provided with a base assembly, an upright assembly, and a fluid recovery system. The base assembly includes a base housing, a brush chamber, at least one brushroll in the brush chamber; and a removable brush housing. A portion of the brush chamber is removable with the brush housing.
Wet/dry vacuum device
An improved shop vacuum with wet/dry capability uses a vacuum tube that terminates in a space between the canister and the vacuum compartment such that the fluid and content exiting the vacuum tube is not directly opposed the negative pressure source. This allows the fluid to drain into the canister in a more controlled and less volatile condition, reducing splashing and entrainment of the fluid. Moreover, a second exit for the vacuum has been added to the canister to improve the efficiency of the vacuum and the overall performance of the device.
RECOVERY TANK
A cleaning device and methods for cleaning are provided. In one embodiment, the cleaning device includes a head assembly, a body assembly, and a handle assembly. The cleaning device also includes components that enable the cleaning device to operate in dry cleaning modes and wet cleaning modes. Dry cleaning modes can employ a vacuum assembly, including a motor, tubing, and a fluid recovery tank in order to draw in debris and waste into a fluid recovery tank. Wet cleaning modes can further employ a fluid supply tank, a pump, and tubing in order to supply fluid to a brushroll to aid in a cleaning process.
EXTRACTION CLEANER WITH QUICK EMPTY TANK
An extraction cleaner is provided with a removable recovery tank having a recovery container, a drain opening quick-empty valve, and an actuator assembly for emptying the recovery container. The drain opening can be provided on a lower portion of the recovery container. The actuator assembly can selectively open the valve. At least a portion of the actuator assembly can be provided on an upper portion of the recovery container.
WET DRY APPLIANCE
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus is provided with a primary fluid distributor and an auxiliary fluid distributor. Each distributor can have a separate and independent flow control actuator. The flow control actuator for the auxiliary fluid distributor is operably coupled with a push-push flow control mechanism, where push-push flow control mechanism has a push on/push off configuration such that pushing the auxiliary flow control actuator once starts fluid flow from the auxiliary fluid distributor and subsequently pushing the auxiliary flow control actuator again stops fluid flow from the auxiliary fluid distributor.
Surface cleaning apparatus
A surface cleaning apparatus such as an extractor has a fluid flow path extending from a dirty fluid inlet head to a clean air outlet. The fluid flow path upstream of the separation stage comprises a removable portion.
Support structure for a surface cleaning device
Aspects of the present invention relate to a recovery tank support structure for a surface cleaning device such as an extractor. The support structure partially encircles and supports the recovery tank removably mounted to a base in order to prevent any unwanted movement of the tank or its contents during operation of the extractor. The support structure creates a void for housing the recovery tank, wherein a locking mechanism may be employed to engage the recovery tank and secure it in position. An upper portion having a handle for propelling the extractor is pivotable about the base independent of the support structure thereby allowing a user access to a wide range of pivoting motion and maneuverability during extractor operation.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A surface cleaning apparatus comprising a surface cleaning head, the surface cleaning head comprising a liquid separation stage having a separated liquid storage region; and, an air treatment stage that is downstream from the liquid separation stage, the air treatment stage having a separated solid storage region.
SURFACE CLEANING APPARATUS
A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone bin assembly having a cyclone chamber. The cyclone chamber with a physical filtration member defining the cyclone air outlet. The physical filtration member has an outer wall wherein at least a portion of the outer wall is porous and a plurality of ribs is spaced around the outer wall. The ribs have a radial inner side that has an inner width in the direction of rotation and a radial outer side that has an outer width in the direction of rotation that is narrower than the inner width.
