TAPE MEASURE STRUCTURE
20190113322 · 2019-04-18 ·

A tape measure structure is characterized in that an access opening of a housing assembly is configured with a flexible control element capable of being pressed to touch and stop a tape body movably installed inside the housing assembly, and a buffer for buffering the tape body is configured on one side of the flexible control element adjacent to the access opening. Whereby, the present invention can avoid the damage to the tape body, prevent the injury to users, and does not interfere hand feeling so as to make the operation convenient.

Integral Finger Brake Opening

A tape measure includes a housing with first and second housing portions; a reel configured to be secured between the first and second housing portions, the reel containing a tape blade wound thereon and partially extending therefrom terminating in a hook portion; and an integral component coupled to the first and second housing portions, including an aperture defining a finger brake, the finger brake exposing the tape blade for engagement by a user. The tape blade is biased to retract into the housing, winding around the reel, such that in a fully retracted position the hook portion abuts the portion of the mouth of the tape measure. In an extended position the tape blade is unwound from the reel such that the hook extends away from the integral component. An integral component including an aperture defining a tape measure mouth and a light emitter receiving slot is also disclosed.

A tape measure with built-in angle/pitch finder device that combines a tape measure and an angle/pitch finder into one tool is disclosed. The tape measure with built-in angle/pitch finder device is a 15 to 50 foot, for example, tape measure with the addition of angle/pitch finder markings on the outside face of the case, protected via a clear plastic lens. The tape measure can also be made with a light inside of it to read the markings in low light conditions. Digital models can be available with a readout display on the exterior of the housing. Thus, users can apply the device to measure degree or pitch of a roof, measure dimensions, and other applications with a single tool.

A tape measure assembly and mount system may include a housing assembly having an enclosure with a tape assembly spooled within. An assembly may include the housing assembly having an interface in electronic communication with a controller within the enclosure. An assembly may include the controller having at least one mode selected from a group consisting of a tape/blade distance mode, and an implement distance mode. A mount system may include a first mount and a second mount selectively connected to one another, which may be configured to selectively mount to a power tool and more particularly, may attach to a fence of a power tool.
