Stagger Stick
Generally, a device to measure the circumference of circular objects. Specifically, a device including a pair of slidingly engaged members disposed between a pair of arms configured to be engaged with tread on a tire at about the midline of a wheel, an electrical circuit which varies in output voltage based on the distance between the pair of arms, and a processor communicatively coupled to a non-transitory computer readable medium containing a program which correlates the output voltage of the electrical circuit to a unit measure of distance between the pair of arms and calculates tire circumference.

Measuring instrument
A measuring instrument that reads a measure including a plurality of reading patterns arranged in a length direction of the measure, each reading pattern including a plurality of patterns arranged in a width direction of the measure, includes: a flattening member that increases a flatness of the measure; and a first reader that optically reads the plurality of patterns arranged in the width direction included in a single reading pattern from the measure in a state where the flatness is increased by the flattening member.

Digital linear measuring device
A digital linear measuring device that digitizes the length of the extended tape and displays this measurement on a primary display screen that continually updates to a current measurement. The user can decide when to save a measurement, at which point the saved measurement will appear on a secondary screen (either a portion of the primary display, or a secondary adjacent display) as a previously taken measurement. These measurements can account for both an external measurement read from the tape measure, as well as an internal measurement, and the measurement may be adjusted where necessary to take into consideration the length of the device body. In use, there is no need to write down or remember a previous measurement, as they are displayed and easily accessible.

Tape measure
A device for measuring length of an object, comprising a coilable tape having a plurality of machine-readable measurement codes on at least one surface, each of the plurality of machine-readable measurement codes encoding for a length value corresponding to a length, a scan engine having a reading zone through which the coilable tape can be extended, the scan engine being configured to detect a machine-readable measurement code positioned within a reading zone, a processor in communication with the scan engine, and an output means selected from one or more of a visual display, a wireless transmitter, a memory, and a remote device, wherein upon extending the coilable tape to a particular length, such that the machine-readable measurement code encoding for the corresponding length value is positioned within the reading zone, the scan engine detects the machine-readable measurement code, receives the corresponding length value and provides the corresponding length value to the processor, the processor processes the corresponding length value, and provides the processed length value to the output means.
