SET-UP APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SETTING UP A TOOL FOR PUNCHING OR FORMING SHEET-FORM MATERIALS
A method and a set-up apparatus for a tool for punching or forming sheet-form materials having a punch holder into which a punch of the tool is insertable and a die holder into which a die of the tool or a die carrier holding the die is insertable. The punch holder and the die holder are movable towards one another by a guide. The punch holder is transferred along the guide into a measuring position in which the punch rests on a surface of a measurement object which rests on the die. A distance of the punch holder is measured from a zero point of the die holder and a distance of the measurement object from the zero point. An evaluation device outputs a punch length of the punch and a die height of the die or a die height of the die arranged in the die carrier.
Roughness tester
There is provided a roughness tester that improves measurement efficiency and roughness measurement accuracy. A roughness tester includes a stylus unit including a stylus that is provided in such a manner as to protrude from and retract into a through hole of a skid and performs scanning movement along a surface of a workpiece, and a stylus displacement detecting unit that detects displacement of the stylus, and a drive unit that moves the stylus unit forward and backward in a drive-axis direction. The roughness tester further includes a height detector that is provided in such a manner as to face a front end face of the main-body housing part, interposing the skid between the height detector and the front end face and that detects a height of an object in a direction parallel with a measurement axis. When the height detector detects the object at the same height of the height of the main-body support foot in the measurement axis direction, the drive unit automatically starts driving in order for the stylus unit to perform scanning measurement of the surface of the workpiece.
MEASUREMENT SYSTEM TO MEASURE A THICKNESS OF AN ADJUSTABLE EDGE RING FOR A SUBSTRATE PROCESSING SYSTEM
A measurement system to measure at least one of a height and a thickness of an edge ring in a plasma processing chamber includes an ultrasound transducer configured to output an ultrasound signal into the edge ring and to receive a reflected signal from the edge ring. A controller is configured to cause the ultrasound transducer to generate the ultrasound signal and to determine a thickness of the edge ring based on timing of the ultrasound signal and the reflected signal.
Hardboard installation support apparatus
A hardboard installation support apparatus for mounting hardboard for board and batten siding installations includes a support bracket having a bracket front side, a bracket back side, a bracket top edge, a bracket bottom edge, a bracket left edge, and a bracket right edge. The supper bracket has a pair of mounting apertures extending from the bracket front side through the bracket back side. The pair of mounting apertures receives hardware to engage a building. A measurement indicator is coupled to the bracket front side and indicates a vertical distance from the bracket bottom edge. A support lip is coupled to the support bracket. The support lip is coupled to the bracket bottom edge and extends away from the bracket front side. The support lip and the bracket front side form an angle between 90° and 100°.
Jig for and method of measuring length of stud bolt
A length measuring jig measures the length of a tubular stud bolt with a central hole defined axially therethrough while the tubular stud bolt remains mounted on a target product such as a steam turbine casing. The length measuring jig includes a rod to be inserted into the central hole in the stud bolt, a first jaw provided on a tip end of the rod for abutting against an end face of the one side in longitudinal direction of the stud bolt, a slider on which the rod is slidably supported, a second jaw provided on the slider for abutting against an end face of the other side in longitudinal direction of the stud bolt, and a cap to be fitted in the central hole in the stud bolt and having a slit defined therein for allowing the rod to extend therethrough. The first jaw has an overall length smaller than a diameter of a minimum-diameter portion of the central hole in the stud bolt. The cap has an inner wall surface defining an end of the slit in the cap, and a distance to the inner wall surface from a central axis of the stud bolt is equal to a radius of the minimum-diameter portion of the central hole in a state in which the cap is fitted in the central hole in the stud bolt.
LINEAR GAUGE
A linear gauge includes a contact member having a lower tip to be positioned facing a workpiece; an air slider including a cylinder surrounding the contact member with a clearance left between them, and configured to eject air such that the contact member is supported movably in a vertical direction; a scale that detects a height position of the contact member; a casing accommodating therein the contact member, the air slider, and the scale; an evacuation portion formed in an upper portion of the cylinder such that the ejected air is evacuated into the casing; and a communication channel communicating an inlet, which is formed in an upper portion of the contact member, and an outlet, which is formed in the lower tip of the contact member, with each other inside the contact member.
U-shaped touch gauge
The present application relates to a U-shaped touch gauge, which comprises a base plate, a transfer plate, a floating column, a fixing block, a measuring sleeve, a measuring column and the like. In use, round head of top end of the floating column is in contact with bottom surface of a work piece. The floating column is compressed downward when it contacts high surface of the bottom surface of the work piece, left side of the transfer plate is depressed and then right side thereof is lifted, in the meantime, the right spring is compressed and the measuring column is lifted.
Automatic sensor calibration for milling machines
A milling machine includes a milling rotor, at least one leg, a grade sensor, and a control circuit. The milling rotor is configured to engage a surface beneath the milling machine. The at least one leg is controllable to raise and lower the milling machine. The grade sensor is configured to sense a position indicative of a cut depth of the milling rotor, and the control circuit is configured to receive data from the grade sensor. The control circuit is also configured to: identify a distance from the milling rotor to the surface based on a selected position of the at least one leg; identify a value associated with a detected condition using the grade sensor while the at least one leg is at the selected position; and calibrate the grade sensor by associating the identified distance from the milling rotor to the surface and the identified value.
