A dust collecting device includes a bin, a dust bag assembly, a bin cover, a trigger structure, a detector and a controller. The trigger structure moves between an initial position in which the trigger structure does not trigger the detector and a trigger position in which the trigger structure triggers the detector. When the dust bag assembly is installed in the bin and the bin cover covers the bin, the dust bag assembly and the bin cover respectively pushes the trigger structure, such that the trigger structure moves from the initial position to the trigger position and triggers the detector. The controller is electrically connected with the detector. The controller restricts an operation of the dust collecting device according to an untriggered state of the detector, and releases the operation of the dust collecting device according to a triggered state of the detector.

Movement of the release mechanism between the first and second positions closes the valve.

The filter presence system is configured to: permit the filter access door to move from the open position into the closed position when the filter unit is disposed in the filter seat; and prevent the filter access door from being moved into the closed position when the filter unit is not disposed in the filter seat. The filter presence system includes a lift arm movable between an extended position and a retracted position. When the filter access door is open, the lift arm assumes the extended position to receive the filter unit in the filter seat. Moving the filter access door from the open position into the closed position when the filter unit is disposed in the filter seat causes the lift arm to move to the retracted position.

Multiple bag hooks are spaced along the open receiving area. Disposable bags, having a drawstring within a channel, are placed within the waste module. The drawstring has a length greater than the bag perimeter to form multiple bag loops that extend through gaps in the channel. An insert maintains the bags in an open position. The bag loops are placed on the bag hooks so that when the motor module is opened, the drawstring pulls the bag closed.
