Hand-held surface cleaning device

In general, the present disclosure is directed to a hand-held surface cleaning device that includes a relatively compact form-factor to allow users to store the same in a nearby location (e.g., in a drawer, in an associated charging dock, on a table top) for easy access to perform relatively small cleaning tasks that would otherwise require retrieving a full-size vacuum from storage. A hand-held surface cleaning device consistent with aspects of the present disclosure includes a body (or body portion) with a motor, power source and dust cup disposed therein. The body portion also functions as a handgrip to allow the hand-held surface cleaning device to be operated by one hand, for example.

Cleaner

A cleaner of the present disclosure comprises: a suction part; a main body comprising a body and a body cover for opening and closing the lower side of the body, the body comprising a cyclone part for separating dust from dust masses suctioned through the suction part and a dust container for storing the dust separated by the cyclone part; a handle part coupled to the main body; a filter part disposed inside the body, and filtering air, separated from the dust in the cyclone part; a movable part capable of moving inside the body along a space between the outside of the filter part and the inner circumferential surface of the body; an operation part disposed at the outside of the main body to move the movable part; and a delivery part penetrating through the main body, and connecting the movable part to the operation part.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus has an air flow path from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet. The air flow path comprising an air inlet conduit which extends downstream from the dirty air inlet. The Surface cleaning apparatus has a first stage cyclone and a second stage cyclone downstream from the first stage cyclone, the second stage cyclone having a plurality of air inlets. The cyclone axis of rotation of the first stage cyclone extends through the air outlet of the second stage cyclone. the first stage cyclone, the second stage cyclone having a plurality of air inlets, an air outlet and a cyclone axis of rotation. A plane that is transverse to the axis of rotation of the second stage cyclone extends through the inlet conduit and the air outlet of the second stage cyclone.

Surface cleaning apparatus

A surface cleaning apparatus having an air flow path; a suction motor positioned in the air flow path; an air treatment chamber provided in the air flow path; and a porous filter provided in the air treatment chamber and including an outlet passage from the air treatment chamber. An air impermeable impact wall in the air treatment chamber is opposed to an inlet into the air treatment chamber. At least a portion of the impact wall or a deflecting portion of a wall defining part of the front end of the air treatment chamber imparts a circular flow to air entering the air treatment chamber.

A surface cleaning apparatus has first and second cleaning stages, a pre-motor filter and a suction motor. The second cleaning stage comprises at least one cyclone. The components are laterally and vertically spaced with respect to other components.

VACUUM CLEANER

A vacuum cleaner is described. The vacuum cleaner has a dirt inlet and a motor and fan for delivering suction to the dirt inlet. A cyclone unit separates particles from a suction flow. The cyclone unit has a vortex finder extending along a cyclone axis of rotation and an annular chamber formed around outside of the vortex finder. Air is delivered to the cyclone unit in a forward direction (i.e. in a direction from the dirt inlet to the cyclone unit). The cyclone axis of rotation is substantially parallel to the forward direction. An outlet from the vortex finder is at a backward end thereof such that the outlet is in an opposite direction to a forward component. A space beyond the vortex finder is a part of a dirt collection area, thus enabling a more effective collection of hairs and other debris.

A surface cleaning apparatus has a cyclone chamber provided in an air flow path. The cyclone chamber has a screen assembly with an outlet section, a longitudinally spaced apart distal section and a longitudinally extending porous section. The outlet section includes a non-porous member extending longitudinally inwardly an outlet section length from an outlet end of the outlet section to a longitudinally inwardly positioned inlet end of the outlet section. The outlet end of the outlet section overlies a cyclone air outlet. The porous section extends longitudinally inwardly from an outlet end of the porous section that is located at the inlet end of the outlet section. The distal section has a distal section length in the longitudinal direction that is greater than the cyclone outlet port length.
