Cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same

A cyclonic air treatment member comprises a cyclone and a dirt collection chamber external to the cyclone chamber. The dirt collection chamber has first and second discrete dirt outlet regions, each dirt outlet region extending around a portion of the perimeter of the cyclone chamber. The second dirt outlet region is positioned proximate the cyclone second end, and the first dirt outlet region is positioned toward the cyclone first end relative to the second dirt outlet region.

Surface cleaning apparatus, cyclonic air treatment member and surface cleaning apparatus including the same

A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air treatment member having an air treatment chamber. A moveable member is positioned in the air treatment chamber. A driving assembly is drivingly connected to the moveable member wherein the driving assembly is reconfigurable between a stored position and an operable position in which the driving assembly is operable to longitudinally translate the moveable member through at least a portion of the chamber.

VACUUM CLEANER

A vacuum cleaner includes a body having a space that allows air to flow therethrough. The vacuum cleaner includes a suction inlet that introduces the air into the body and a first cyclone in the body. The first cyclone separates foreign substances from the air introduced into the suction inlet. The vacuum cleaner includes a dust separation module having a filter unit that separates foreign substances from the air introduced from the first cyclone. The dust separation module also includes a second cyclone arranged within and separated from the filter unit. The second cyclone includes a cyclone base, a storage unit arranged adjacent to a lower portion of the second cyclone, and a cyclone array coupled to the cyclone base. The cyclone array allows the air to pass through an upper portion of the second cyclone and discharge the foreign substances collected by the second cyclone to the storage unit.

A reconfigurable upright vacuum cleaner has a portable surface cleaning unit removably mounted to an upper portion. The portable surface cleaning unit has a suction motor and an air treatment member. The air treatment member is removably mounted to the portable surface cleaning unit and secured in position by an air treatment member lock. The portable surface cleaning unit is secured in position by a portable surface cleaning unit lock. When the portable surface cleaning unit is mounted to the upper portion and the upper portion is in the storage position, the portable surface cleaning unit actuator is provided on an upper end of the portable surface cleaning unit and the air treatment member release actuator is provided on an upper end of the air treatment member.

An adapter frame for mounting onto a base, in particular a suction device, a system box and/or a roller board, and for receiving a particle collecting container for a cyclone pre-separator, where the adapter frame includes a rectangular underside and adapter frame peripheral walls extending upwards from the underside, and lower adapter frame couplers, designed to provide a releasable, vertically tension-proof coupling to the base when the adapter frame is positioned on the base. The adapter frame on its upper side has a container receptacle for receiving the particle collecting container, the horizontal inner contour of which tapers towards the underside, so that the container receptacle is able to receive and horizontally stabilise a particle collecting container having an outer contour tapering downwards.

Handheld vacuum cleaner

A handheld vacuum cleaner including a housing having a front end, a back end, a first side, and a second side, the housing further including a handle along a handle axis the handle axis extends in a direction from the back end toward the front end. A suction nozzle is along a suction nozzle axis that extends in a direction from the front end toward the back end. The handheld vacuum further includes a suction source operable to generate an airflow through the vacuum cleaner from the suction nozzle through a cyclonic separator to a clean air exhaust. The cyclonic separator includes a longitudinal axis that extends in a direction from the first side toward the second side and the handle axis and the suction nozzle axis intersect at an obtuse angle.

Low profile surface cleaning head

A surface cleaning apparatus provides a lower profile surface cleaning head by moving at least the suction motor out of the surface cleaning head. The suction motor may be located in an upper portion (e.g., in a wand) pivotably coupled to the surface cleaning head and fluidly connected to a cyclone assembly located in the surface cleaning head. The cyclone assembly may include first and second opposing cyclones with smaller diameters (e.g., as compared to a single cyclone used in existing “all in the head” vacuums) to provide a lower profile with substantially the same or better performance.

A vacuum cleaner according to an aspect includes a case defining a dust collecting space in which dust is stored and having a boss, a dust container cover rotatably connected to the case and configured to open/close the dust collecting space, and an opening/closing part configured to open the dust container cover, wherein the dust container cover has a cover locker having a rib caught by the boss, the opening/closing part includes a pair of push parts installed in the case and elastically deformed by a user, and the rib is spaced apart from the boss as the cover locker is deformed while the pair of push parts are moved in a direction in which the push parts become closer to each other.

Cyclone assembly for surface cleaning apparatus and a surface cleaning apparatus having same

A cyclone assembly for a surface cleaning apparatus has a first cyclonic cleaning stage and a second cyclonic cleaning stage downstream from the first cyclonic cleaning stage. The second cyclonic cleaning stage has more air inlets than the first cyclonic cleaning stage. The second cyclonic cleaning stage has a second stage air inlet cross-sectional area in a direction transverse to a direction of air flow entering the second stage cyclone chamber that is 1.1-2 times larger than a first stage air inlet cross-sectional area in a direction transverse to a direction of air flow entering the first stage cyclone chamber.
