A hand vacuum cleaner may include a suction motor and fan assembly that is positioned downstream of a pre-motor filter. A post motor filter may be positioned downstream of the suction motor and fan assembly and may be in the lower end of the hand vacuum cleaner and an energy storage member may be in an upper end of the handle.

A hand vacuum cleaner can include an air inlet conduit having an inlet conduit axis, a suction motor and fan assembly having a suction motor axis of rotation, and a cyclone unit comprising a cyclone chamber having a cyclone axis of rotation. The cyclone unit comprises a cyclone and a dirt collection region that is positioned forward of the cyclone. The cyclone unit front end has an openable door. The cyclone air outlet comprises an assembly which includes a screen. The assembly is moveable relative to the cyclone unit sidewall in a common direction with the cyclone axis of rotation whereby the assembly and the sidewall are separable from each other in a forward direction.

The present disclosure relates to a dust collecting device including an air inflow part having a suction flow path through which air is introduced, a dust separating part configured to separate dust from the air introduced through the air inflow part, a dust bag configured to store the dust separated by the dust separating part, a bag support part configured to accommodate the dust bag, a housing configured to accommodate the bag support part and the dust separating part therein, a suction motor configured to provide a flow force of the air, and a connection part including a connection flow path configured to guide the air, which has passed through the dust separating part, to the suction motor, and a bypass flow path configured to connect the bag support part and the suction motor, thereby enabling a user to empty a dust bin only by removing the dust bag.

A stick surface cleaning apparatus comprises a surface cleaning head, which has a dirty air inlet and a surface cleaning head air outlet, and a wand that is moveable between an upright storage position and a reclined in use position. When the wand is mounted to the surface cleaning head and in the upright storage position, the wand has a lower end and an axially spaced apart upper end, a wand axis extending between the lower end and the upper end and a longitudinally extending sidewall, wherein the wand comprises an air treatment member having an air inlet at the lower end of the wand, an air outlet positioned above the air inlet of the air treatment member and a dirt collection region whereby, in operation, dirt separated from air flowing through the wand is collected in the dirt collection region.

A surface cleaning apparatus having an upright section moveable relative to a surface cleaning head between a storage position and a rearwardly reclined floor cleaning position. The upright section comprising a removable hand vacuum cleaner. The hand vacuum cleaner is operable in a first mode of operation in which the surface cleaning apparatus is operated to clean a floor, the inlet of the hand vacuum cleaner is in flow communication with the surface cleaning head air outlet and the air treatment member of the hand vacuum cleaner is operable to treat air drawn in through the dirty air inlet of the surface cleaning head. A reconfigurable upright vacuum cleaner has a portable surface cleaning unit removably mounted to an upper portion and is securable thereto by a portable surface cleaning unit lock. The portable surface cleaning unit has the operable members of the portable surface cleaning unit lock provided on the portable surface cleaning unit and removable with the portable surface cleaning unit from the upper portion.

A vacuum cleaner according to an aspect includes a case defining a dust collecting space in which dust is stored and having a boss, a dust container cover rotatably connected to the case and configured to open/close the dust collecting space, and an opening/closing part configured to open the dust container cover, wherein the dust container cover has a cover locker having a rib caught by the boss, the opening/closing part includes a pair of push parts installed in the case and elastically deformed by a user, and the rib is spaced apart from the boss as the cover locker is deformed while the pair of push parts are moved in a direction in which the push parts become closer to each other.
