Phase interpolation circuit
Methods and systems are described for receiving a control step input at a binary-to-thermometer decoder and responsively generating bits of a thermometer codeword representative of the control step input, providing the bits of the thermometer codeword to a plurality of differential pairs comprising a first transistor and a second transistor, each differential pair configurable for one of directing current to an in-phase (I) common node or directing current to a quadrature phase (Q) common node and switching between directing current to the I common node and the Q common node, and forming an output signal based on current drawn through the I and Q common nodes, the output signal having an intermediate phase with respect to a first and a second reference signal.
SENSOR DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Magnetic field sensor devices, corresponding systems and corresponding methods are discussed where a plurality of magnetic field sensors senses a magnetic field. An evaluation circuit generates a first signal component associated with a periodicity of a magnetic field, and a second signal component at least for periods of the magnetic field exceeding a threshold period length, the second signal component having a resolution smaller than one half period of the magnetic field.
Position-measuring device and method for operating the same
A position-measuring device includes a module configured to vary a signal period of a position-dependent sinusoidal analog scanning signal. A conversion unit is configured to receive the sinusoidal analog scanning signal and to generate therefrom a sinusoidal digital output signal having a varied signal period compared to the sinusoidal analog scanning signal. A digital-to-analog converter is configured to generate, from the sinusoidal digital output signal, a sinusoidal analog output signal having a varied signal period. The conversion unit is configured to change an operating mode in dependence upon a frequency of the sinusoidal analog scanning signal in such a way that in a case of higher frequencies of the sinusoidal analog scanning signal, the sinusoidal digital output signal is fed to the digital-to-analog converter at a higher output rate and with a smaller word width than in a case of lower frequencies of the sinusoidal analog scanning signal.
High resolution interpolator for optical encoder
A device includes an optical modulator configured to produce first and second modulated optical signals in response to a first electrical signal and a reference optical signal. The device further includes a phase detector configured to receive first and second encoded optical signals and the first and second modulated optical signals and to produce a second electrical signal indicating a phase difference between the first encoded optical signals and the first modulated optical signals. The device further includes a voltage-controlled oscillator configured to produce electrical pulses in response to the second electrical signal, and a counter configured to count a number of the electrical pulses, producing a count. The first electrical signal to the optical modulator is the count or a derivative of the count.

Device, system and method for synchronizing of data from multiple sensors
In an embodiment, a device comprises a memory, which, in operation, stores data samples associated with a plurality of data sensors, and circuitry, coupled to the memory, wherein the circuitry, in operation, generates synchronized output data sets associated with the plurality of data sensors. Generating a synchronized output data set includes: determining a reference sample associated with a sensor of the plurality of sensors; verifying a timing validity of a data sample associated with another sensor of the plurality of sensors; identifying a closest-in-time data sample associated with the another sensor of the plurality of sensors with respect to the reference sample; and generating the synchronized output data set based on interpolation.
