A hand vacuum cleaner and a mounting structure for the hand vacuum cleaner. The mounting structure has a base which is free standing on a floor and an upper portion comprising an air flow duct and a mounting apparatus provided at an upper end of the upper portion. The mounting apparatus has first and second laterally opposed first engagement members. The hand vacuum cleaner has first and second laterally opposed second engagement members. The hand vacuum cleaner is downwardly removably mountable to the mounting apparatus and the first and second engagement members are slideably interengagable. As the hand vacuum cleaner is moved downwardly to be mounted to the mounting apparatus, the first and second engagement members slideably interengage.

A retractable vacuum hose system may include a hose having a distal end portion and a proximal end portion and a hose engagement terminal for selectively engaging the proximal end portion to secure the proximal end portion and provide power through the hose.

A reconfigurable surface treatment apparatus may include a wand and a pod removably coupled to the wand. The wand may have a first distal end that is configured to couple to a surface cleaning head and a second distal end that is configured to couple to a handle. The pod may include a suction motor assembly cavity, a battery cavity, and a dust cup cavity. The suction motor assembly cavity and the battery cavity may be disposed on opposing sides of a vertical plane, wherein the vertical plane extends along a central longitudinal axis of the pod. The dust cup cavity may be disposed between the suction motor assembly cavity and the battery cavity such that at least a portion of the dust cup cavity is disposed on each side of the vertical plane.

The present disclosure provides a telescopic conductive tube, including a conductive assembly and a telescopic assembly. The conductive assembly is mounted to an outer wall of the telescopic assembly and extends along a longitudinal direction of the telescopic assembly. The conductive assembly includes an upper housing, a lower housing, a conductive wire, an elastic conductive wire, a first electrode pin and a second electrode pin. The elastic conductive wire is accommodated within the telescopic assembly. The lower housing has an end fixed to the telescopic assembly. The conductive wire has an end electrically connected with the first electrode pin and an other end electrically connected with the elastic conductive wire. The elastic conductive wire has an end disposed away from the conductive wire and electrically connected with the second electrode pin. The conductive wire is sandwiched and fixed between the upper housing and the lower housing.

The present disclosure provides a telescopic conductive tube, including a conductive assembly and a telescopic assembly. The conductive assembly is mounted to an outer wall of the telescopic assembly and extends along a longitudinal direction of the telescopic assembly. The conductive assembly includes an upper housing, a lower housing, a conductive wire, an elastic conductive wire, a first electrode pin and a second electrode pin. The elastic conductive wire is accommodated within the telescopic assembly. The lower housing has an end fixed to the telescopic assembly. The conductive wire has an end electrically connected with the first electrode pin and an other end electrically connected with the elastic conductive wire. The elastic conductive wire has an end disposed away from the conductive wire and electrically connected with the second electrode pin. The conductive wire is sandwiched and fixed between the upper housing and the lower housing.

A vacuum cleaner comprising: a cleaner main body configured to generate suction power; and a suction unit configured to suck dust using the suction power. The suction unit comprising: a drum brush comprising a cylindrical drum rotatable to brush away dust from a floor, and conductive bristles provided on an outer circumferential surface of the drum; and a conductive dust guide unit comprising a guide portion connectable to the cleaner main body and configured to guide the sucked dust to be transferred to the cleaner main body, and a contact portion formed to extend from the guide portion, provided to be in contact with the bristles of the drum brush, and configured to transfer static electricity, which is charged as the vacuum cleaner is operated, from the cleaner main body to the conductive bristles of the drum brush.

A flexible hose has a length of hollow tubing and a closed cuff. A method for manufacturing a flexible hose, has the steps of providing a length of flexible tubing, providing a closable cuff, aligning the closable cuff with the hollow tubing at a closed cuff location, and affixing the closable cuff to the length of hollow tubing by closing the closable cuff around the length of hollow tubing at the closed cuff location, thereby forming a flexible hose having a closed cuff. The method does not include the step of screwing the closable cuff onto the length of hollow tubing. Devices may also contain such a flexible hose.

A telescopic conductive tube is provided in the present application, including a telescopic assembly and a conductive assembly, wherein the telescopic assembly is provided with a first tube body and a second tube body relatively telescopic to the first tube body, and the conductive assembly is installed along the outside of the first and second tube body, wherein the conductive assembly includes a conductive wire, a receiving aluminum tube, an electrical connecting head, a conductive copper sheet, and an insulated guide rail, wherein the conductive wire is electrically connected with an elastic contact protruding from the inside to the outside of the electrical connecting head, the electrical connecting head being electrically connected to the conductive copper sheet, and the electrical connecting head and the conductive copper sheet being capable of sliding relatively and maintaining electrical connection.

Connector assemblies including a first subassembly having a recessed portion and a pair of locator tracks and a second subassembly having a pair of locator projections, vacuum assemblies including these connector assemblies, and methods of using the same are provided herein.

A hand vacuum cleaner with a finger grip area that is provided between a forward side of the handle and a rear side of the main body, and wherein the suction motor is positioned between the cyclone and the finger grip area and an axis that extends between the front of the cyclone and the handle extends through the suction motor.
