Pointer device for an indicator instrument, in particular for a vehicle
A pointer device has a light-guiding body, including a shaft, a hub coaxial with the shaft and having a rear surface covered by a shield, and a pointer, which projects radially from the hub. A cap is defined by at least one piece separate from the light-guiding body and is mounted on the hub in a fixed position. The hub has an emitting surface, a first reflecting surface configured to reflect and direct a first light flow from the shaft to the pointer, and at least a second reflecting surface, which is configured to reflect and direct a second light flow from the shaft to the emitting surface and is, at least in part, set apart from the first reflecting surface. The cap has at least one light-permeable area, aligned with the emitting surface, and a barrier arranged radially between the emitting surface and the first reflecting surface.
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE POINTER
A vehicle display device pointer includes a translucent pointer that has a pointer main body disposed on a front side of a dial plate having a penetration hole and extending along the dial plate, a shaft protruding toward the penetration hole, and a light guide connecting the pointer main body and the shaft; a lightproof first shielding member that covers a proximal end portion of the pointer main body and the light guide from a front side and a lateral side; and a lightproof second shielding member that covers the proximal end portion of the pointer main body and the light guide from the back side. The pointer main body emits light by light emitted from a light source and incident on the shaft, and the second shielding member has protrusions that protrude toward the front side, and close gaps.
COLOR CHANGING NEEDLE FOR VEHICLE GAUGE
Disclosed embodiments provide a programmable gauge suited for vehicular applications. A multicolored lighting element illuminates a gauge needle in response to an input value. Thus, the needle can be a first color under certain conditions, and then transition to a second color under different conditions. In embodiments, the programmable gauge can serve as a tachometer, speedometer, fuel level gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge, altimeter, and/or other gauge types.
MINIATURIZED ILLUMINATED POINTER FOR INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
An illuminable pointer assembly for an instrument panel includes a transparent or translucent base, a transparent or translucent pointer blade, and a hub mounted on the base and supporting the pointer blade. The assembly is miniaturized or capable of being miniaturized by integrating reflectors into a lower surface of the pointer blade to internally reflect light propagated upwardly through the base in a lateral direction to uniformly illuminate the pointer blade.
POINTER DEVICE FOR AN INDICATOR INSTRUMENT, IN PARTICULAR FOR A VEHICLE
A pointer device for an indicator instrument, in particular for a vehicle, is provided with a light-guide body defined by a single piece, which, in use, receives light from a light source and has a hub and a pointer radially protruding from the hub; the hub has a surface covered by a shield and a light transmission portion, which, on the opposite side, ends with at least one light emission area; the device is provided with a cap defined by a single piece, which is separate from said light-guide body and has an intermediate portion and a lateral portion arranged in an inner and outer radial position, respectively, relative to the light transmission portion; the cap has at least one through opening aligned with the light emission area and connection portions extending radially and joining the intermediate portion to the lateral portion.
High light efficiency pointer illumination
A pointer for an instrument cluster assembly of a motor vehicle is provided. The pointer includes a pointer arm and a light distributor formed of light conducting material. The pointer arm has a proximal end and a distal end. The light distributor is disposed at the proximal end. The light distributor has a light receiving side and a light reflecting surface. The light distributor is configured to receive rays through the light receiving side. The light reflecting surface is configured to reflect rays into the pointer arm. The light receiving side has an inner portion and an outer portion. The inner portion is disposed closer to the distal end of the pointer arm than the outer portion is with respect to the distal end. Angled surfaces are disposed on the inner portion. The angled surfaces are configured to refract rays toward the light reflecting surface.
Illuminated dial with integrated status indication
A process measurement display is disclosed that includes an indicator configured to change position to indicate a process variable. The display also includes an illumination source configured to provide light to the indicator. The display further includes a processor configured to control the illumination source to provide at least one additional output modality.
Stereoscopic display device and dashboard using the same
Provided is a stereoscopic display device, including: a base member transmitting an incident beam; and a three-dimensional effect forming part on a first surface of the base member, wherein the three-dimensional effect forming part has a pattern, the pattern having multiple pattern units arranged in a concentric circular, elliptical or polygonal radial form, each of the pattern units having an inclined surface having an inclination angle with respect to the first surface, and wherein when an incident beam is incident to a central portion of the pattern, the pattern guides the incident beam in a first surface direction toward which the first surface looks or a second surface direction toward which a second surface opposite to the first surface looks, thereby displaying a line-shaped beam having a three-dimensional effect in a first path resulting a pattern arrangement direction.
ELECTRONIC SCALE RULER AND VERNIER CALIPER, AND USE METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is an electronic scale ruler, having a scale ruler main body, a main control board, an input, a display screen, a light source, a vernier base, and a distance conversion assembly. The scale ruler main body has an outer edge side. The light source is mounted on the outer edge side of the scale ruler main body, having a plurality of light beads and being capable of displaying scale. The vernier base is removably mounted on the outer edge side of the scale ruler main body, being capable of moving along a length direction of the outer edge side of the scale ruler main body. The distance conversion assembly is configured to calculate a movement of the vernier base from an origin on the outer edge side of the scale ruler main body.
