Flow Meter With Spacer Plate
A non-vertical flow meter is provided. The non-vertical flow meter includes a chamber, sensing box, load cell, guide, and a spacer plate. The chamber disposed at a non-vertical angle and comprising an inlet and an outlet, wherein the inlet and the outlet are disposed at the non-vertical angle. The sensing box disposed within the chamber, wherein the sensing box has a pivoting sensing surface, the pivoting sensing surface disposed on an interior surface within the non-vertically disposed chamber. The load cell in operational communication with the pivoting sensing surface, and the guide disposed within the chamber. The spacer plate coupled between the sensing box and the load cell.
Target Flowmeter
A flowmeter of the target type, having a flow-sensing probe constructed to be inserted into a pipe through a small hole. The required small size is achieved in part by allowing the probe to deflect and thus shift in orientation relative to the flow as the force on the probe changes, the resulting distortion of the signal being compensated for in firmware. The target is made contiguous with its support, maximizing the area presented to the flow relative to the size of the hole through which the probe is inserted. The flowmeter may be configured to be mounted to the outside of a pipe and include means for sealing to the outside of the pipe. It may also include pressure- and temperature-sensing elements and means to calculate mass flow of a gas.
Counter module adaptor assembly for rotary gas meters
An apparatus for use with a backup counter module, the apparatus having: a housing having a first end for coupling the housing to a gas meter body, and a second end for coupling an electronic counter module to the housing; and the second end having an inner surface with at least two sets of backup counter module engagement features for securing an output end of a backup counter module in one of at least two backup counter module positions. The housing may be coupled to a first gas meter body with a backup counter module positioned within the housing in one of the at least two backup counter module positions. The housing may alternatively be coupled to a second gas meter body with the backup counter module positioned within the housing in another of the at least two backup counter module positions.
Counter module adaptor assembly for rotary gas meters
An apparatus for use with a backup counter module, the apparatus having: a housing having a first end for coupling the housing to a gas meter body, and a second end for coupling an electronic counter module to the housing; and the second end having an inner surface with at least two sets of backup counter module engagement features for securing an output end of a backup counter module in one of at least two backup counter module positions. The housing may be coupled to a first gas meter body with a backup counter module positioned within the housing in one of the at least two backup counter module positions. The housing may alternatively be coupled to a second gas meter body with the backup counter module positioned within the housing in another of the at least two backup counter module positions.
Water meter systems and methods with bypass-flow path and rechargeable energy storage
A linear water meter system may include a metering system, a ball valve, a power generation system, a wireless communication system, or a combination thereof. The linear water meter system may provide a linear pathway through the meter that minimizes pressure loss in the system. Two pathways may be provided through the power generation system. One pathway may be utilized to generate power, and the other pathway may provide a bypass that can be utilized to maintain a desired water pressure level in the system.
