TILT COMPENSATION APPARATUS AND TILT COMPENSATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present disclosures relate generally to a tilt compensation apparatus and a tilt compensation method therefor. The tilt compensation method includes: S1: performing tilt angle calibration and horizontal rotation angle calibration on a weighing system; S2: selecting to set different specified tilt angles and different specified horizontal rotation angles, and measuring weights, tilt angles, and horizontal rotation angles under different loads; S3: calculating a weight compensation value based on the set specified tilt angles and the set specified horizontal rotation angles as well as the weights, tilt angles, and horizontal rotation angles obtained through measurement; and S4: calculating an actual weighing weight based on an actual measured weight of the weighing system and the weight compensation value. These disclosures provide more, accurate tilt compensation for weighing systems having a column-type load cell.
Load cell with a means to compensate for errors due to misalignment
A load cell (1) has a deformable body with upper and lower contact surfaces (3, 4), through which a force is introduced. Support points (5) of the contact surfaces define a line of action (6) of the force. At least one column-shaped portion (7) of the deformable body has a central longitudinal axis (8) and a circumferential surface whose generating line runs parallel to the central longitudinal axis (8). A first determining means (9) installed on the column-shaped portion converts a mechanical deformation into an electronic signal, and a second determining means (10) installed on the column-shaped portion converts a deviation of the central longitudinal axis (8) from the line of action (6) into a representative signal. Each determining means has at least one strain gauge.
SELF-LEVELING SCALE
A weighing scale for measuring the weight of an object is disclosed. The weighing scale includes a base portion, a platform extending along a plane above the base portion to support the object, and at least one peg extending below the platform along an axis that is adjustable from a first position perpendicular to the plane to a second position not perpendicular to the plane.
Method of operating a balance with ionizer
A method for operating a balance includes: (a) introducing an ion cloud into a weighing chamber to bring an electrostatic charge state of a weighing sample towards an electrostatic neutral state, (b) detecting the neutral state, and (c) acquiring measured values of a weighing sensor, calculating therefrom a final weighing value representing the electrostatic neutral state, and outputting the final weighing value. When the ionizer is activated, the measured values of the weighing sensor are acquired, preliminary weighing values are calculated from the measured values and the final weighing value is calculated and output after a number of preliminary weighing values have been recognized as stable. During a recognition phase, positive and negative ion clouds are alternatingly generated, and during a neutralization phase, only ion clouds of that sign are generated that, in the recognition phase, had led to the larger changes within the preliminary weighing values.
