Efficient weight estimation and stabilization

This disclosure is directed to item-identifying carts that may be utilized by users to automatically identify items that the users place in their carts. In order to identify the items placed into or removed from the cart, the cart may analyze image data, as well as weight data indicating a current weight estimation of a basket of the cart. The cart may include a weight sensor that generates a signal comprising a series of weight measurements of the basket of the cart. The cart may use an algorithm that calculates different mean values of different window sizes of the weight measurements of this signal and, thereafter, may calculate an average of these mean values. This average may be stored as the current weight estimation of the basket.

A food inventory tracking system within a refrigerated food storage compartment includes cameras configured for capturing images of food, load cell sensors for taking weight measurements of food and a computing system for reading images from the cameras and weight measurements from the load cell sensors, generating a three-dimensional location map of an interior of the refrigerated food storage compartment, mapping the images and weight measurements to segments of the three-dimensional location map, such that each segment of the three-dimensional location map is associated with images and weight measurements, identifying a type of food item within said segments based on the images and weight measurements associated with said segment, calculating a current amount of said food item based reporting to a user the type of said food item and the amount of said food item.

SHIP WEIGHING SYSTEM AND SHIP WEIGHING METHOD
20230160741 · 2023-05-25 ·

A ship weighing system and a weighing method thereof include a collection module, a computing server, a wireless router, a display control terminal, and a network switch, which are installed in the ship. The collection module synchronously collects water level data of a stern and trim angle data of a front portion, a middle portion, and a rear portion of the ship. The computing server respectively calculates, based on the water level data collected by the collection module, an accumulated volume of the ship below a slice section parallel to a bottom plane of the ship corresponding to the water level data and a volume of a trim wedge formed by the slice section and an actual horizontal plane. The computing server combines results and corrects a volume of a vertical arch wedge in the middle portion of the ship to obtain a displacement volume of the ship.

Provided is an electronic balance that enables a user to recognize the magnitude of disturbances in real time. An electronic balance (1) whose natural frequency is known, includes a load measurement mechanism (4) configured to detect weighing data (Zn), and an arithmetic processing unit (8) configured to perform arithmetic processing by using the weighing data (Zn), wherein the arithmetic processing unit (8) extracts a vibration component (Fr) of the natural frequency from the weighing data (Zn) detected by the load measurement mechanism (4) and displays the vibration component (Fr) of the natural frequency. By using the vibration component (Fr) of the natural frequency as an index of disturbances, it becomes possible to recognize in real time the magnitude of the disturbances during weighing.
