A surface cleaning apparatus adapted for movement across a surface to be cleaned. The surface cleaning apparatus can dock within a storage tray and charge a power supply. Electrical contacts on the surface cleaning apparatus and the storage tray can be shielded when the surface cleaning apparatus is not docked within the storage tray. Furthermore, the storage tray can include a reservoir for a self-cleaning mode.

A multi-purpose cleaning appliance avoids the need for separate appliances for vacuuming and mopping, and includes a floor tool body including a base and wheels for supporting the floor tool body on a floor with the base above the floor; and a mopping module and a vacuum cleaner module that are interchangeably mountable to the floor tool body for mopping or vacuuming the floor respectively, with the mopping module configured to perform wet mopping.

Hand-guided treatment device for walkable surfaces adapted to clean, sanitize and dry such surfaces, including a guiding body joined below, through an articulated element to a unit for cleaning, sanitizing and drying such surfaces, the guiding body having housed inside it at least a control and command electronic circuit board powered by at least an electrical transformer, at least a first reservoir and at least an electrical pump. A cleaning robot and an automatic cleaning method thereof, to implement automatic cleaning. The cleaning robot includes a lifting mechanism and a cleaning base, where the cleaning base includes a base body, a scraping mechanism disposed on the base body, and a spraying assembly provided with nozzles. The nozzles are arranged along a mopping component of the cleaning robot and formed into a structure for spraying water or mist to the mopping component. The scraping mechanism includes a scraper, and the scraper comes into contact with and moves relative to the mopping component, to scrape off the attachment on the mopping component while squeezing out the water. The lifting mechanism causes the mopping component to lift or move down by causing the mopping component to come into contact with or separate from the scraper.

A surface cleaning apparatus, such as a carpet extractor, includes a base and a fluid recovery system for drawing dirty cleaning fluid from a surface to be cleaned. The fluid recovery system includes a suction nozzle in fluid communication with a recovery chamber. The suction nozzle is mounted to the base for vertical movement with respect to the base and is biased into contact with the surface to be cleaned.

A cleaning robot include a main body and a cleaning module. The cleaning module includes a box body, at least one driving mechanism, and at least one rotating plate assembly. The box body includes a first connector. The at least one driving mechanism is positioned on a bottom surface of the box body, electrically connected to the first connector, and includes at least one drive shaft. Each rotating plate assembly is connected to a corresponding drive shaft and includes a cleaning surface. A surface cleaning apparatus such as an extractor has a liquid delivery system, a separator, a collection chamber in communication a the separated element outlet of the separator, and a separated liquid collection container downstream from the collection chamber.

An autonomous floor cleaning robot includes a transport drive and control system arranged for autonomous movement of the robot over a floor for performing cleaning operations. The robot chassis carries a first cleaning zone comprising cleaning elements arranged to suction loose particulates up from the cleaning surface and a second cleaning zone comprising cleaning elements arranged to apply a cleaning fluid onto the surface and to thereafter collect the cleaning fluid up from the surface after it has been used to clean the surface. The robot chassis carries a supply of cleaning fluid and a waste container for storing waste materials collected up from the cleaning surface.

An autonomous floor cleaner can include a housing, a drive system for autonomously moving the housing over the surface to be cleaned, a controller for controlling the operation of the autonomous floor cleaner, and warning system for issuing an audible warning based on an orientation or operational condition of the robot. Methods for issuing an audible warning are disclosed.

A surface cleaning apparatus includes an upright body and a base adapted for movement across a surface to be cleaned, a fluid delivery system, and a recovery system. The surface cleaning apparatus can be configured to clean multiple surfaces, including hard and soft surfaces, and for different cleaning modes, including wet cleaning, dry vacuum cleaning, and self-cleaning.
