Spectrometer
A spectrometer includes a light conduit configured to align scattered light scattered in a target by light output from a light source into a collimated beam, and a beam block configured to restrict an angle of the scattered light and detect the scattered light via the light conduit or the beam block through a filter array and a detector, thereby achieving miniaturization in a pen type or a flat plate shape while maintaining a spectral characteristic.
CUBESAT INFRARED ATMOSPHERIC SOUNDER (CIRAS)
A CubeSat compatible spectrometer including a slit having a first length and first width; a diffraction grating; and a two dimensional focal plane array electromagnetically coupled to the diffraction grating. The 2D focal plane array includes an array of pixels including a plurality of sets of pixels. Diffraction of electromagnetic radiation transmitted through the slit by the diffraction grating forms a plurality of beams, each of the beams comprising a different one of the bands of the wavelengths in the electromagnetic radiation, and each of the beams transmitted onto a different one of the sets of the pixels.
Ambient light sensor window coatings for electronic devices
An electronic device may have a display with a cover layer. An ambient light sensor may be aligned with an ambient light sensor window formed from an opening in a masking layer on the cover layer in an inactive portion of the display. To help mask the ambient light sensor window from view, the ambient light sensor window may be provided with a black coating that matches the appearance of surrounding masking layer material while allowing light to reach the ambient light sensor. The black coating may be formed from a black physical vapor deposition thin-film inorganic layer with a high index of refraction. An antireflection layer formed from a stack of dielectric layers may be interposed between the black thin-film inorganic layer and the display cover layer.
Electronic device with color sensing ambient light sensor
An electronic device may be provided with a display mounted in a housing. A color sensing ambient light sensor may measure the color of ambient light. The color sensing ambient light sensor may be mounted in alignment with an ambient light sensor window formed in an inactive area of the display. The color sensing ambient light sensor may be formed from detectors on a semiconductor substrate. The detectors may include detectors that have spectral sensitivity profiles matching those of color matching functions. The color sensing ambient light sensor may include an infrared light detector. Light redirecting structures such as a diffuser, prism film, negative lens film, or privacy film may be used in directing light into the ambient light sensor. The color sensing ambient light sensor may be calibrated by exposing the sensor to light sources of different types.
Optoelectronic modules for the acquisition of spectral and distance data
An optoelectronic module operable to acquire distance data and spectral data includes an array of demodulation pixels and an array of spectral filters. The demodulation pixels can possess an intrinsic wavelength-dependent sensitivity, wherein the intrinsic wavelength-dependent sensitivity can be offset by an intensity balancing micro-lens array in some cases. In some cases, the intrinsic wavelength-dependent sensitivity can be offset by a combined filter array, while in other cases the intrinsic wavelength-dependent sensitivity can be offset by an intensity balancing filter array. Still in other cases, the demodulation pixels can be operable in such as to offset the intrinsic wavelength-dependent sensitivity.
DETECTING THE PRESENCE OF PLANTS ON THE GROUND
A system for detecting the presence of a plant on the ground includes a light module configured to emit a light beam having a shape with a length longer than a width. The system may include one or more lenses each having one or more photodetectors. The photodetectors may be arranged in a side-by-side configuration and are configured to receive reflected portions of the light beam. The lenses may be configured to direct the reflected portions of the light beam onto the photodetectors.
Multispectral light source device
A multispectral light source device includes a substrate, a plurality of light-emitting diodes, a cover body and a light guide body. The light-emitting diodes are disposed on the substrate. A plurality of waveband lights with different wavelengths are emitted by the light-emitting diodes. The cover body is disposed on the substrate, and the light-emitting diodes are covered by the cover body. The light guide body is disposed on the substrate. The light guide body has a light guide outlet. The substrate has a first diameter, the light guide outlet has a second diameter, and the ratio of the first diameter to the second diameter is in a range between 9 to 15, so that the waveband lights are moved and converged in the light guide body and emitted through the light guide outlet. As a result, the product can be miniaturized, and the handheld detection instrument can be implemented.
Spectrometer apparatus
A spectrometer includes a substrate; a plurality of light detectors in the substrate; and a plurality of light filters over the plurality of light detectors, each of the plurality of light filters transmitting a different wavelength or reflecting a different wavelength, each of the light filters aligned with a corresponding one of the plurality of light detectors.
