MODULAR LOW COST TRACKERLESS SPECTRAL SENSOR
A non-tracking solar sensor device and systems. The non-tracking solar sensor system includes a transparent hemispherical dome enclosure for receiving light. A diffuser is disposed with the enclosure for diffusing the light. A photodiode sensor array senses at least one discrete wavelength of the diffused light. A data acquisition module is configured to receive a sensor signal from the sensor array, the signal indicative of light quality at least one discrete wave band for processing via a processor module.
Device for providing variable sized aperture for a sample
An apparatus for providing a variable sized aperture for an imaging device includes a first plate having a first plurality of plate apertures extending therethrough and a second plate having a second plurality of plate apertures extending therethrough. A first motor is operably connected to the first plate and a second motor is operably connected to the second plate. The first and second motors are configured to move the first plate and the second plate with respect to one another so as to align any of the first plurality of plate apertures with any of the second plurality of plate apertures to define a plurality of light beam apertures.
Compact high density rotary optical filter wheel assemblies
Filter wheel assemblies with a single actuation point to control positioning of front and rear optical filter elements simultaneously and to provide high channel density with a plurality of selectable optical filter pairs. A filter wheel assembly may include a plurality of optical filter element pairs arranged around a common axis, wherein each of the plurality of optical filter element pairs includes a first filter element and a complementary filter element, wherein each first filter element and each complementary filter element has a surface having a normal component directed toward an inner portion of the filter wheel assembly.
Monochromator
A monochromator 100 includes: a diffraction grating 2 placed within a housing 1 so as to receive light from an entrance 11 and disperse the light into a spectrum from which a component of light having a set wavelength is to be extracted through an exit 12; an optical filter 92 to be removably inserted between the grating and the exit to remove light within a specific wavelength band which is out of the set wavelength; a rotary drive 5 for rotating the grating using a stepping motor; a wavelength-movement information setter 73 which sets wavelength-movement information to be used for rotating the grating from an original position to a rotational position corresponding to the set wavelength; and a wavelength-movement controller 71 which controls the rotary drive to initially rotate the grating to the original position and subsequently rotate it to the aforementioned rotational position based on the wavelength-movement information.
Modular low cost trackerless spectral sensor
A photodiode sensor device and systems. The photodiode sensor device includes a housing portion. The housing portion includes a cylindrical enclosure. A window is disposed at a first end of the housing portion. A filter wheel is within the housing portion. A motor positioned within the housing is adjacent the filter wheel opposite the window. The motor is attached to the filter wheel. A photodiode sensor within the housing portion intermediate the first photodiode sensor and the window. The first photodiode sensor receives filtered light incident on the window and transmit a signal associated with sensed parameters of the filtered light. Also, a hemispherical dome for diffusing the light to a collimating lens has a grating, a focusing lens, and a linear detector array. An exit port transmits light to the collimating lens. The sensor array is opposite the grating for sensing the diffused light.
LIGHT SOURCE MODULE
A light source module may include a base with a support feature protruding from a surface of the base and securing a light source to direct radiation away from the surface. A lens cells may be attached proximate to the surface, optionally by being secured within a sleeve that is attached at one end to the surface. A multi-conductor part may include electrical conductors and a base temperature sensor that contacts the base. The base temperature sensor may be electrically connected to at least one of the plurality of conductive elements and further connected to an optical ignition safety protection system configured to interrupt current to the light source if the base temperature sensor indicates that a temperature of the light source is outside of a safe range.
Method and Apparatus for Imaging Circadiometer
A system and method for an imaging circadiometer that measures the spatial distribution of eye-mediated, non-image-forming optical radiation within the visible spectrum.
Optical characteristics measuring method and optical characteristics measuring system
An optical characteristics measuring method for measuring optical characteristics of a subject, the optical characteristics measuring method including: a step of acquiring one or more captured images including the subject, using an image capturing apparatus that is located at a predetermined distance from the subject, and is configured to be displaceable relative to the subject, while maintaining the predetermined distance; and a step of creating, based on the one or more captured images thus acquired, a virtual image including the subject and acquired from one or more analysis points each located at a position other than a position on a plane that includes the trajectory of the image capturing apparatus.
Enclosed benchtop raman spectrometry device
An enclosed benchtop analytical device, as well as systems, processes, and techniques related thereto are disclosed. A benchtop analytical device can include an enclosure enclosing a probe and a sample. A compliance component can determine satisfaction of one or more compliance rules, such as a compliance rule relating to an enclosure being in an operable configuration based on a lid of the enclosure being closed. If the compliance rule(s) is determined to be satisfied, the compliance component may enable the release of optical energy for interrogation of the sample via the probe.
