Method and System for Accurate Measurement of Color Performance of Electronic Displays Using Low-Accuracy Measurement Devices
In a calibration method, high-accuracy reference values obtained using a high-accuracy optical sensor are received, low-accuracy reference values are determined from reference colors captured from a display using a low-accuracy optical sensor having a lower accuracy than the high-accuracy optical sensor, color measurement values are determined from one or more colors captured from the display using the low-accuracy optical sensor, and the color measurements values are adjusted based on one or more color conversion equations to obtain adjusted color measurement values. The one or more color conversion equations are based on the high-accuracy measurement values and the low-accuracy measurement values. The high-accuracy reference values are reused for calibrations of one or more other low-accuracy optical sensors.
Chromaticity Measurement Method and Device for Calibration of Tiled LED Display Screen
A chromaticity measurement method and device for calibration of a tiled LED display screen (A) having the advantages of convenience in operation and accurate measurement. The chromaticity measurement method includes: imaging emergent light from the tiled LED display screen (A) with an objective lens (1); receiving a light beam from the objective lens (1) with a transflective lens (2) and performing beam splitting to obtain a first light beam and a second light beam; receiving the first light beam with an imaging sensor (3) to obtain an original image; receiving the second light beam in a two-dimensional lattice form with a movable optical fiber array coupling device (4), and converting the second light beam into one-dimensional lattice light; and obtaining chromaticity information and spectrum information of a plurality of regions on the tiled LED display screen (A) according to the one-dimensional lattice light with a spectrum acquisition device (5). The emergent light is split, analysis is performed with the imaging sensor (3), chromaticity measurement and spectrum measurement are performed with a spectrometer (52), and calibration and correction are performed on the imaging sensor (3) on the basis of measurement results of the spectrometer (52).
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A COLOR MIX ON A THREE COLOR DISPLAY DEVICE WITH LOW LUMINANCE OR ILLUMINANCE
A method for achieving a target white chromaticity value and a target white light output value on a display device includes measuring a chromaticity value of a first primary color, a chromaticity value of a first secondary color, and a chromaticity value of a second secondary color on the display device using a photometer. The method also includes measuring a current white chromaticity value and a current white light output value on the display device using the photometer. The method also includes generating a plot of a color gamut triangle based at least partially upon the measured chromaticity value of the first primary color, the measured chromaticity value of the first secondary color, the measured chromaticity value of the second secondary color, and the measured current white chromaticity value.

System and method for configuring a display system to color match displays
A system and method is provided for color matching two or more electronic displays of a display system. The method includes: obtaining first and second spectral response readings for first and second electronic displays from spectral response device(s); determining first and second spectral response curves based on the first and second spectral response readings; determining first and second spectral power distributions based on the first and second spectral response readings; determining a first device-to-independent color mapping based on the first spectral response curve and the first spectral power distribution; determining a second device-to-independent color mapping based on the second spectral response curve and the second spectral power distribution; and configuring a display system having the first electronic display and the second electronic display to match colors being displayed based on using the first device-to-independent color mapping and the second device-to-independent color mapping.

The electronic device may include a display; a communication circuit; a camera; and at least one processor configured to: based on an execution of a compensation application for performing compensation on an image of a display device, control the display to output guide information including an interface indicating the electronic device to move to meet an image capturing condition for capturing an image of a partial area of a display device connected through the communication circuit; and based on the compensation of the image of the display device being completed, output a first image of the display device before the compensation and a second image of the display device after the compensation.

A method for estimating ambient light at a display screen of a device. The method comprises determining one or more expected colour values of display screen output light, detecting light with a sensor positioned behind the display screen, determining one or more colour values of the detected light, determining a difference between the one or more expected colour values of the display screen output light and the one or more colour values of the detected light, and, from the determined difference, estimating a first portion of the detected light corresponding to the display screen output light and a second portion of the detected light corresponding to ambient light.

Disclosed is a color and luminance measuring device including a filter unit including a case which covers the entire device and has a light incident part formed on one side thereof through which measured light emitted from an object to be measured is incident, a measurement unit which measures luminance and a color by receiving the measured light in the case, and a filter unit which is disposed on a movement path of the measured light in the case to selectively control the luminance of the measured light transmitted to the measurement unit and transmit the measured light, wherein the filter unit reduces the luminance of the measured light to a predetermined level when the measured light has luminance of a predetermined level or higher and transmits the measured light to the measurement unit.
