A communication system includes a transmission terminal for displaying a color code having a plurality of colors of code patterns arranged two-dimensionally, and a spectroscopic measurement device including a variable wavelength interference filter for dispersing the light from the image displayed on the transmission terminal, an imaging section adapted to image the light dispersed by the variable wavelength interference filter to obtain a spectral image, a colorimetric section adapted to measure a dispersion spectrum of each of pixels in each of spectral images of a plurality of wavelengths with respect to the color code based on the light intensity value in each of the pixels, in the case in which the spectral images are obtained, and a decode section adapted to detect an arrangement of the code patterns based on the pixel positions and the dispersion spectrums of the respective pixels, and decode the color code.

Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for imaging and image-based sorting of particles in a flow system, including cells in a flow cytometer. In some aspects, a system includes a particle flow device to flow particles through a channel, an imaging system to obtain image data of a particle during flow through the channel, a processing unit to determine a property associated with the particle and to produce a control command for sorting the particle based on sorting criteria associated with particle properties, and an actuator to direct the particle into one of a plurality of output paths of the particle flow device in real-time.
Image-based cell sorting systems and methods
Disclosed are systems, devices and methods for imaging and image-based sorting of particles in a flow system, including cells in a flow cytometer. In some aspects, a system includes a particle flow device to flow particles through a channel, an imaging system to obtain image data of a particle during flow through the channel, a processing unit to determine a property associated with the particle and to produce a control command for sorting the particle based on sorting criteria associated with particle properties, and an actuator to direct the particle into one of a plurality of output paths of the particle flow device in real-time.
Multispectral imaging based on computational imaging and a narrow-band absorptive filter array
Multispectral imaging systems are disclosed. An exemplary multispectral imager includes a narrow-band absorptive filter array and a sensor array comprising a plurality of pixels. The narrow-band absorptive filter array has a plurality of filter elements, each filter element being associated with a pixel of the sensor array. The filter elements are organized into groups of N filter elements, where N is greater than three. Each filter element absorbs one narrow band and transmits N−1 narrow bands. The group of N filter elements absorbs all N narrow bands.

A multichannel color measurement instrument for measuring spectral properties of a target comprises pick-up optics to collect measurement light, first and second anamorphic optical paths optically coupled to the pick up optics, a pick-up polarizing element located to polarize measurement light in the second anamorphic optical path, a reference anamorphic optical path including a reference illumination source, and a two-dimensional variable filter sensor having an optically transmissive filter function that varies in a first direction parallel to a surface of the variable filter sensor and is substantially constant in a second direction parallel to a surface of the variable filter sensor and orthogonal to the first direction. The anamorphic optical paths spread the measurement light in the first direction direct it on to different portions of the variable filter sensor.
MULTICHANNEL SPECTROPHOTOMETER USING LINEAR VARIABLE FILTER SENSOR
A multichannel color measurement instrument for measuring spectral properties of a target comprises pick-up optics to collect measurement light, first and second anamorphic optical paths optically coupled to the pick up optics, a pick-up polarizing element located to polarize measurement light in the second anamorphic optical path, a reference anamorphic optical path including a reference illumination source, and a two-dimensional variable filter sensor having an optically transmissive filter function that varies in a first direction parallel to a surface of the variable filter sensor and is substantially constant in a second direction parallel to a surface of the variable filter sensor and orthogonal to the first direction. The anamorphic optical paths spread the measurement light in the first direction direct it on to different portions of the variable filter sensor.
Wavelength detection device and confocal measurement device
The present invention provides a wavelength detection device (10) provided with: a plurality of optical filters (12a, 12b); a splitting unit (11) which splits light and allows the split light to pass through each of the plurality of optical filters (12a, 12b); a plurality of light receiving elements (13a, 13b) which detect the intensities of different beams of light which have passed through the optical filters, respectively; and a calculation unit (16) which calculates, from the outputs of the plurality of light receiving elements, physical quantities related to the transmittances of the plurality of optical filters, and calculates the wavelengths of the beams of light which have passed through the plurality of optical filters, on the basis of the transmittance characteristics, wherein the transmittance characteristics of the plurality of optical filters have an inclination section in different wavelength ranges of the wavelength range of the object to be measured.
