System and method for color optimization
A system and a method for color optimization with a distal server displaying a virtual color image in the form of an image file having individual color values on its website, and with a proximal computer connected to the server and having a display unit, the computer displaying on its display unit the virtual color image of the server by way of an application program, products on the display unit in the most optimum colors possible. The system and method include a reference card having several differently colored translucent reference areas besides a transparent or translucent area or an opening and an application program that starts a routine on the server and/or on the computer.
COLOR MEASUREMENT AND CALIBRATION
Embodiments described herein disclose a color measurement device and method for use with cameras or other imaging devices. The color measurement device may be configured to determine many different colors via a commonly owned device. Embodiments utilize sinusoidal grayscale rings to determine an exact color match of an unknown color, even if there is perspective distortion of an obtained image.
Printer colour reference system
A test apparatus comprising a portable reference element having color and spectrophotometrically neutral gray elements of predetermined hues and saturations, and a digital software file provides identical color and spectrophotometrically neutral grayscale data which, when printed or otherwise reproduced accurately, may be compared with the test colors and grayscale provided by the portable reference element, enabling appropriate adjustments to be made to the printer as required.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLOR OPTIMIZATION
In order to present in a system with a distal server displaying a virtual color image in the form of an image file comprising individual color values on its website, and with a proximal computer connected to the server and comprising a display unit (D), said computer displaying on its display unit (D) the virtual color image of the server by means of an application program,
products on the display unit (D) in the most optimum colors possible, the following is proposed: [a] a reference card (K) is held in front of the computer, said reference card (K) comprising several differently colored translucent reference areas (T1, T2, T3) besides a transparent or translucent area or an opening (G), [b.1] the application program then starts a routine on the server and/or on the computer, said routine firstly outputting a first shade, for example cyan, with a first of the color values, said first shade being complementary to the color, for example red, of one (T1) of the translucent reference areas (T1, T2, T3) of the reference card (K), [b.2] the reference card (K) having that translucent reference area (T1) whose color is complementary to the first shade displayed on the display unit (D) is then held in front of said first shade, and an identifier is determined and stored for that (T1) of the translucent reference areas (T1, T2, T3) for which the shade of grey resulting from color mixture of the first shade and the translucent reference area (T1) comes closest to a shade of grey displayed on the display unit (D) and falling through the area or the opening (G), [c] the step [b.1] and the step [b.2] are repeated at least once to output a second shade, for example magenta, of a second of the color values, said second shade being complementary to the color, for example green, of another (T2) of the translucent reference areas (T1, T2, T3) of the reference card (K), and to determine and store the identifier of said other (T2) of the translucent reference areas (T1, T2, T3), [d] the identifiers of the reference areas (T1, T2, T3) determined in the preceding steps [b.1], [b.2], [c] and stored on the server and/or on the computer are input in this order into a color correction program started on the server and/or on the computer, and [e] for each image file sent by the server the color correction program is used to adjust the virtual color image for each color value included in the image file by applying the identifiers used as correction values whereby said virtual color image is displayed in colors opti

Testing of Quality of Cooking Oil
This relates to a processor-implemented method of providing an oil-quality indication. The method includes receiving image data associated with a captured image, wherein the image includes (i) oil sample pixels associated with an oil sample and (ii) calibration color pixels associated with a calibration color. The oil sample pixels are adjusted based on the calibration color pixels. A saturation value and a hue value are determined based on the adjusted oil sample pixels. An oil quality value is determined based on the saturation value and the hue value. The oil quality value is stored in a processor-readable medium.
RGB VALUE CALCULATION DEVICE
A microcomputer equally divides the circumference of a RGB circle into 6n (n is an integer of 1 or more) parts, and calculates a RGB value of each divided color. (255, 0, 0) is stored as a reference RGB value of a reference color in a ROM in the microcomputer. The microcomputer 3 converts the reference RGB value depending on an angular difference on the RGB circle between a designated color whose RGB value is to be found and the reference color, and assumes the converted RGB value as a RGB value of the designated color.
