FREEFORM SURFACE REFLECTIVE INFRARED IMAGING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a freeform surface reflective infrared imaging system comprising a primary mirror, a secondary mirror, a tertiary mirror, and an infrared light detector. Each reflective surface of the primary mirror, the secondary mirror, and the tertiary mirror is an xy polynomial freeform surface. A field of view of the freeform surface reflective infrared imaging system is larger than or equal to 4030. An F-number of the freeform surface reflective infrared imaging system is less than or equal to 1.39.
Scanning Motion Average Radiant Temperature Sensor Applications
Disclosed herein are a spherical-motion average radiant temperature sensor (SMART Sensor) system which can be used in various applications, including but not limited to, informing or controlling HVAC systems in buildings, locating and tracking people or objects, and detecting the release of gases. The system may optionally include the use of sensors other than a non-contacting temperature sensor to improve calculations and determinations made by the system.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM TO DETECT AND QUANTIFY DAYLIGHT THAT EMPLOYS NON-PHOTO SENSORS
A method and corresponding system is disclosed in which the overall illuminance of an environment is analyzed to in order to detect and quantify the daylight component of the illuminance. The invention utilizes a combination of visual and non-visual sensors and a signal processing algorithm that filters and analyzes the sensor data.
Bolometer pixel trigger
A bolometer pixel trigger array includes a substrate, an electrically conductive contact pad formed on the substrate, and bolometer formed on the substrate. The bolometer includes at least one thermally conductive trigger arm having a fixed end coupled to a portion of the bolometer and an electrically conductive free end configured to deflect with respect to the fixed end. At least one trigger arm establishes different operating states of the bolometer pixel trigger in response to the at least one trigger arm realizing different temperatures. The different operating states are configured to change an electrical connection between the at least one trigger arm and the contact pad.
EMULATING A SPECTRAL MEASUREMENT DEVICE
Certain examples relate to emulating a spectral measurement device in a color measurement apparatus. In these examples, a primary spectral measurement device measures a first spectral characteristic of a rendered color output. A predictive model, parametrized by parameter values, is applied to the measurement from the primary spectral measurement device to determine a predicted measurement of a second spectral characteristic of the rendered color output which would be measured by an ancillary spectral measurement device. Parameter values are generated by training the predictive model with data from the primary spectral measurement device and the ancillary spectral measurement device.
Image processing apparatus and image processing method to improve quality of a low-quality image
An image processing apparatus includes a first combination unit that receives a far-infrared image and multiple reference images obtained by capturing the same object as that of the far-infrared image and generates a first composite signal which is a composite signal of the multiple reference images and a second combination unit that combines the far-infrared image and the first composite signal to generate a quality-improved image of the far-infrared image. The first combination unit generates the first composite signal on the basis of a visible image-far-infrared image correlation amount and a near-infrared image-far-infrared image correlation amount. The first combination unit sets a contribution ratio of a reference image, which has a larger amount of correlation with the far-infrared image, of the two reference images, that is, the visible image and the near-infrared image to a large value and generates the first composite signal.
Passive millimeter wave radiometer system for calibration of infrared cameras
An apparatus for accurate measurement of surface and sub-surface temperatures of an object from a distance without contacting the object is provided. Illustrative embodiments provide for simultaneous measurement of thermal emission and emissivity in the mm-wave regime thereby enabling real-time non-contact measurement of emissivity. Corrected temperatures for the object which may be used for calibration of infrared thermographic cameras are determined from the measurement of emissivity.
MONITORING GROUND ENGAGING PRODUCTS
Apparatus and methods for detecting a characteristic of a ground engaging product on earth working equipment are described. The apparatus is operable to: measure a temperature profile at a ground engaging product location; compare the measured temperature profile with an expected temperature profile for that ground engaging product; and indicate a characteristic of the ground engaging product based on the comparison. Thermal inserts for use with ground engaging products on earth working equipment are also described.
Optical sensor
An optical sensor including: a semiconductor layer including a source region and a drain region; a gate electrode facing a region between the source region and the drain region; a photoelectric conversion layer between the region and the gate electrode; and a first transistor having a first gate coupled to one of the source region and the drain region.
