Accuracy of body temperature measurement can be increased.
A METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
The invention relates to a device and method for imaging electromagnetic radiation from an object. The device includes entrance optics for allowing the electromagnetic radiation to enter the device, including an image plane onto which an image of the object is to be imaged. The device includes an interferometer having a measurement arm, wherein the image plane is in the measurement arm. The device includes a transformation layer, at the image plane, for transforming the electromagnetic radiation into a spatiotemporal variation of the refractive index of the transformation layer for causing spatiotemporal optical phase differences in the measurement arm of the interferometer that are processed to result in a representative image of the object.
SURFACE SENSITIZATION FOR HIGH-RESOLUTION THERMAL IMAGING
A structured product, comprising: at least two layers comprising a first layer and a second layer; wherein: the first layer comprises at least one material having a temperature-dependent (e.g., a positive temperature-dependent or a negative temperature-dependent) wavelength-integrated emissivity (ε); the second layer comprises at least one reflective material that is reflective to light in an 8-14 μm wavelength range; and the structured product has a positive temperature-dependent wavelength-integrated emissivity. The structured product is useful in a method for thermal image sensitizing, the method comprising imaging, in an infrared spectrum, the structured product.
Touchless, automated and remote premise entry systems and methods
A system for interdicting access to a secured venue by automatically detecting the presence of weapons or other threats on attendees as they enter the site is provided. Cameras or other detectors, coupled with machine learning techniques identify from video streams or other sensor signals whether attendees openly or covertly have weapons or other threats on or near their person. In addition, wellness checks such as temperature measurements are performed. The system may also incorporate an automatic ticket scanner.
Methods and Apparatus for Multi-Spectral Imaging Pyrometer Utilizing Tunable Optics
A multi-spectral imaging system utilizing tunable optics is disclosed. Various disclosed systems include a tunable optical filter coupled to a broadband imaging system. The tunable optical filter allows discrete infrared wavelengths to pass to the broadband imaging system so that monochromatic infrared images of a scene may be captured. An image processing system may process selected monochromatic infrared images by using a ratio technique to generate an emissivity-independent thermal image of the scene. The tunable optical filter may also be used to adjust a quality factor and control an amount of radiated energy that is passed to an image sensor of the broadband imaging system thereby acting as an aperture to account for both low and high radiance portions of the scene.
TARGET FOR MULTISPECTRAL GEOMETRICAL CALIBRATION
A target and a method of calibration of an IR camera unit is disclosed. The target may include, a substantially flat metallic plate, such that a first surface of the metallic plate has a surface roughness of between N9 to N10; and a pattern made from a polymeric ink applied on the first surface. The method may include, receiving from an IR camera, included in the camera unit, an image of the target taken in the infrared spectrum; extracting parameters, related to the camera, form the image; and calibrating the camera based on the extracted first parameters.
INSPECTION METHOD
An inspection method includes applying a laser beam to a semiconductor chip to reflow a bump disposed on a surface of the semiconductor chip and included in an irradiation range of the workpiece, the laser beam being applied from an opposite surface of the semiconductor chip, capturing an image of the irradiation range with use of a thermal camera while the laser beam is applied to the semiconductor chip, and acquiring temperature information regarding the semiconductor chip from the captured image, storing in advance reference temperature information that represents temperature information obtained when the semiconductor chip and the board have normally been bonded to each other by the laser beam applied thereto, and determining whether or not the semiconductor chip and the board have normally been bonded to each other by the laser beam applied thereto, on the basis of the reference temperature information and the temperature information.
