REMOTE MAPPING OF CIRCUIT SPEED VARIATION DUE TO PROCESS, VOLTAGE AND TEMPERATURE USING A NETWORK OF DIGITAL SENSORS
A digital sensor network is overlaid on an integrated circuit for identifying and mapping hotspots in the integrated circuit. The digital sensor network may include a plurality of digital sensors distributed within an area of an integrated circuit component of an integrated circuit. Each of the plurality of digital sensors may include a ring oscillator and may be configured to output a counter value of a ring oscillator counted over a designated period. A sensor network control unit may be provided that is communicatively connected to the plurality of digital sensors via a communication circuit. The sensor network control unit may be configured to receive a plurality of counter values including the counter value from each of the plurality of digital sensors and identify a hotspot within the area of the integrated circuit.
SENSOR LINE AND MEASURING ASSEMBLY
A sensor line, which is configured to detect an ambient variable and which extends from a first end to a second end in a longitudinal direction, has a line core and a number of mutually spaced resistance elements with a resistance value. The resistance value varies depending on a value of the ambient variables. A measuring assembly having the sensor line is also provided.
FIREARM DISCHARGE DETECTING AND SEMAPHORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A semaphore for guiding an occupant to safety during an emergency event communicates with a gunfire detector to provide a visual cue conveying whether it is safe to proceed through an entryway in an active shooter event.
WOUND ELECTRICAL COMPONENT WITH PRINTED ELECTRONICS SENSOR
A wound electrical component includes a wound body comprising a plurality of wound layers of an electrically insulating material around a longitudinal axis of the body. The component also includes at least one printed electronics sensor consisting of printed circuits on a flexible substrate. Each sensor is interleaved between two of the wound layers of the wound body.
Abnormal temperature detection system, abnormal temperature detection cable and cable
An abnormal temperature detection system that detects an abnormal temperature in a cable used to transmit power to a electrical device. The abnormal temperature detection system includes first and second conductors that are disposed along a longitudinal axis direction of the cable, and a plurality of temperature-responsive electronic components that are disposed along the longitudinal axis direction of the cable and are electrically connected to the first and second conductors. The first and second conductors and the plurality of temperature-responsive electronic components form an electrical circuit. An abnormal temperature is detected on the basis of an electrical signal acquired from the electrical circuit.
METHOD, SYSTEM AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING REST TIME OF SUPERCONDUCTING NANOWIRE
A device, system and method for measuring the temperature at the center of a normal hotspot and the heat escape time in superconducting filament or nanowire toward the substrate. The device includes structured layers; a superconducting filament is implemented as an active layer where an electrical current pulse or single photon radiation generates a hot spot; a sensitive semiconductor layer of germanium serves as a temperature sensor (thermometer); and a thin layer of insulating silicon oxide is intercalated between the superconducting layer and the germanium having a thickness in the range of 2-10 nm and width 5-100 m. This device provides a direct measurement of the temperature at the center of a hot spot and determination of the heat escape time toward a substrate; and can be used to determine the sensitivity of a superconducting single photon detector device to a next upcoming photon.
Measuring and determining hot spots in slide valves for petrochemical plants or refineries
A plant or refinery may include equipment such as condensers, regenerators, distillation columns, pumps, slide valves, or the like. Different operating methods may impact deterioration in equipment condition, thereby prolonging equipment life, extending production operating time, or providing other benefits. Mechanical or digital sensors may be used for monitoring equipment to determine whether problems are developing. Specifically, sensors may be used in conjunction with one or more system components to predict and detect slide valve hot spots. A shielded, tube skin thermocouple assembly may provide a temperature profile for a slide valve. Tomography may be used to image a slide valve. An operating condition of the plant or refinery may be adjusted to prolong equipment life or avoid equipment failure.
Food service oven with multipoint temperature monitoring
An oven having multiple oven cavity temperature sensors that provide improved monitoring of oven temperature and that permit improved oven temperature control is provided. Multiple temperature values from the different sensors may be combined or analyzed to provide a more consistent and accurate measurement of the temperature of the food being cooked. Patterns of temperature as a function of location in the oven cavity may be analyzed to detect abnormal but correctable temperature inhomogeneities (for example, cold spots or stratification) and used to adjust parameters of the oven control, (for example, by fan speed/direction adjustment, cycle control of the fan and heater elements) to provide more even temperature distributions.
