Fluid Dispensing Device
The invention pertains generally to an improved fluid dispensing device, particularly a dispensing device which employs at least one hemispherical domed cannister source of reactants and which uses a color-changing dispensing plastic tip to inform the end-user if the reactants are at a proper use temperature.
THERMOCHROMIC PIGMENT
A decoration for a computing device includes at least one thermochromic pigment. The decoration is located next to a heat exhaust port of a computing device to change color based on the heat exhausted by the computing device. Further, a computing device may include a heat exhaust port for dissipating heat, and a decoration coupled to the computing device adjacent to the heat exhaust port. The decoration includes at least one thermochromic pigment to change color based on heat exhausted by the heat exhaust.

Thermochromic liquid crystal temperature indicator
A new and useful thermochromic liquid crystal Indicator is disclosed that provides an indication of the temperature of the Object to which the Indicator is attached, and is an improvement over the existing art for at least the fact that the impact of ambient air circulating around the Indicator and circulating the Object is reduced by several means, such as i) the use of a novel cap or housing to isolate the liquid crystal Structure from ambient air and from touching or ii) using a novel liquid crystal formulation that reduces the reaction time of the thermochromic liquid crystal contained in the Indicator to changing temperatures conveyed by the ambient air. The new and useful liquid crystal Indicator can also employ either a template or a colored filter as a mask that narrows the colors and narrows the range of temperatures indicated by the Indicator. Further, the new and useful Indicator can also employ a new manner in which to indicate that a predetermined temperature or predetermined temperature range has been reached in that it eliminates the confusion arising from the use of multiple temperature indicating panels that were present in the prior art devices.

Methods and systems for detecting leakage in a thermal protection apparatus using a liquid crystal sheet
In an example, method of inspecting a thermal protection apparatus is described. The apparatus comprises a composite wall and a thermal insulation blanket, where the thermal insulation blanket is coupled to the wall by way of a sealant disposed around, and offset from, a perimeter of the composite wall and disposed between the composite wall and the thermal insulation blanket, and where the wall, the thermal insulation blanket, and the sealant form a plenum chamber within the apparatus. The method includes pressurizing the plenum chamber with pressurized air, heating the pressurized air within the plenum chamber, and inserting a liquid crystal sheet between the wall and the thermal insulation blanket and proximate to a periphery of the sealant, where the liquid crystal sheet is configured to change color when heated pressurized air exits a gap in the apparatus and heats the liquid crystal sheet.
Duplex Thermal Transfer Pack
The present invention comprises a duplex thermal transfer pack. The pack includes a large bag containing many smaller sub bags. Each sub bag contains plain water. The volume within the large bag but outside the sub bags contains a second substance. This second substance freezes with a consistency akin to crushed ice or packed snow. The second substance allows the thermal transfer pack to remain malleable even when its contents are frozen.
THERMOCHROMIC TEMPERATURE INDICATION FOR LOW VOLTAGE CONNECTIONS
An indicator tab comprising a thermochromic material is mounted in thermal contact with an electrical component in an enclosure. An observation port in a cover of the enclosure is juxtaposed with the indicator tab enabling visual observation of the thermochromic material indicating a temperature of the component. Each indicator tab comprises a visible portion on one end of an arm where the thermochromic material is located and a fastening portion on the other end thermally contacting the component. The indicator tab is composed of a material having a high thermal conductivity to efficiently conduct heat toward the visible portion. In an enclosure where the components are close together, the arm may be composed of a high electrical resistivity material to avoid creating a short circuit with other components. Alternately, in an enclosure where the components are not closely positioned, the arm may be composed of a metallic material.
