SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPENSING FLUID FROM A RUPTURABLE CELL
20230102001 · 2023-03-30 ·

The present disclosure relates to a fluid delivery system that includes a surface contact a layer and a matrix of rupturable cells. The rupturable cells contain fluid confined with the cell. The fluid is absorbed by the surface contact layer when at least one of the cells is ruptured.

LOW-VOC CLEANING SUBSTRATES AND COMPOSITIONS

The present invention is directed to a cleaning composition for sanitizing or disinfecting hard surfaces containing a cationic biocide, surfactant and low levels of VOC solvents. The cleaning composition is adapted to clean a variety of hard surfaces without leaving behind a visible residue and creates low levels of streaking and filming on the treated surface. The cleaning composition contains less than 5% by weight of VOCs. The cleaning composition may be used alone as a liquid or spray formulation or in combination with a substrate, for example, a pre-loaded cleaning wipe.

Pre-Loaded Floor Wipes with Improved Pickup

A pre-loaded cleaning substrate, and related systems and methods for picking up particles with an aspect ratio (L/D) greater than 300 (e.g., hair), or greater than 1200 (e.g., particularly long hairs). The substrate (e.g., a nonwoven) may include only a single layer of material. The pre-loaded substrate is loaded (e.g., during manufacture) with a cleaning composition. The fibers of the substrate may have an average diameter less than 15 μm, the substrate may have an air permeability of 35 ft.sup.3/min to 75 ft.sup.3/min, and the liquid cleaning composition may have a surface tension of less than about 50 dynes/cm. Together, the combination of the particular substrate and cleaning composition may facilitate markedly improved ability to pick up high L/D aspect ratio particle debris (e.g., such as hair), while retaining such particles (e.g., providing hair retention index values of at least 20).

A RESERVOIR OR POUCH, IN USE, BONDED OR CONNECTED TO A SPONGE OR WASHING/CLEANING APPLICATOR MEANS
20230079169 · 2023-03-16 ·

An assembly of an upper, oval shaped reservoir/pouch bonded or moulded with a lower peripheral hand grip portion having a rectangular well or recess snugly receiving a standard dimension off the shelf rectangular sponge. The reservoir/pouch has a centrally located inlet valve for receiving a suitable cleansing/washing agent and a single outlet nozzle positioned on a lower surface of the reservoir. The reservoir/pouch occupies a substantial volume in relation to sponge to avoid the necessity of frequent filling with cleansing/washing agent. The hand grip portion has a skirt S with opposed, vertical curved wall ribbing and that can be gripped and squeezed together to dispense agent from the reservoir/pouch through the outlet nozzle into and through pores in the sponge, in a manner that should readily be envisaged.

Liquid or gel applicator
11596287 · 2023-03-07 ·

An applicator for applying liquid and gel stains, lacquers, shellac, or other sealers to wood by hand. In various embodiments, the applicator comprises various layers including an outer applicator layer, an inner reservoir layer, and, in some embodiments, a semi-permeable middle layer. The middle layer may act as a barrier of variable permeability and/or provide varying levels of rigidity to the pad. In all cases the various layers are fastened to one another throughout the planar intersection so that the applicator sheet can be cut to provide applicators of diverse sizes without compromising the integrity of the construction.
