MEDICAL MANIPULATOR
A medical manipulator is provided with: a drive unit provided with a motor; a removable portion that is removably attached to the drive unit and that is provided with a rotating body to be connected to a rotating shaft of the motor; an elongated insertion portion coupled to the removable portion; a distal-end movable part disposed at a distal end of the insertion portion; a wire connecting the rotating body and the distal-end movable part and transferring tension generated by power of the motor to the distal-end movable part to actuate the distal-end movable part; a pressing member that is formed of an elastic material and that presses a longitudinal intermediate position of the wire in the wire diameter direction; and a sensor that is attached to the pressing member and that detects an elastic deformation amount caused in the pressing member according to the tension of the wire.
Fishing Reel Drag Set Device
The present invention relates generally to the field of fishing drag scales. More specifically, the present invention relates to a fishing reel drag set device that is comprised of a body, an upper and lower housing, two eyelets and a power supply. The device may be adjustable or non-adjustable (i.e., static), wherein the adjustable version allots the user multiple tension settings for the line and the static version has only one tension setting. Other visual and audible elements such as colored LEDs, a speaker relay and visual and audio indicators are provided to help identify if the drag in the fishing line is too heavy or too light. Accordingly, the device can be applied to any fishing rod and fishing line to aid a fisherman in using a desired drag setting when attempting to catch a fish.
LOAD APPLYING DEVICE
A load applying device includes: a rotatable shaft member; a drive portion; a movable shaft member; a connecting member to connect the movable shaft member with an operation object O; a load sensor having a housing, a spring member, and a sensor element; and a rotation suppressing portion S1, wherein the other end portion of the movable shaft member has a pressing portion P to press the housing, the movable shaft member is configured to move in an axis X direction with driving of the drive portion and press the housing by the pressing portion P, the sensor element is configured to move with movement of the housing to detect load by the movable shaft member.
SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY ACTUATOR WITH STRAIN GAUGE SENSOR AND POSITION ESTIMATION AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A shape memory actuator including: a monolithic shape memory alloy; a shape memory effect (SME) section of the alloy, configured for actuation; a pseudo-elastic (PE) section of the alloy, configured as a sensor for enabling position sensing; and a control system configured to control the actuator by controlling a current through at least the SME section based on the sensor results of the PE section. A method of controlling a shape memory actuator, the method including: applying a predetermined current through the actuator; measuring a first resistance of the SME section; measuring a second resistance of the PE section; calculating an estimated position of the actuator based on the first and second resistances; and adapting the current applied to the actuator based on the estimated position. A method of manufacturing a shape memory actuator, the method including: laser processing; thermomechanically treating; and training the shape memory alloy.
FORCE MEASURING SENSOR AND ROBOT INCLUDING SAME
A force measuring sensor is provided. The force measuring sensor includes: a wire; a signal generator having one side fixed to one end of the wire; and a signal processor configured to convert and process an analog signal received from the signal generator into a digital signal, in which the wire is configured to penetrate an internal space formed in the signal generator, and the analog signal is generated by a change in thickness of a component of the signal generator caused by a change in tension of the wire.
TESTING DEVICE FOR FLEXIBLE SCREEN
An apparatus for testing a flexible screen. The apparatus for testing a flexible screen includes a slide rail, a reel, a clamping module and a drive module. The reel is fixed to one end of the slide rail. The axial direction of the reel is perpendicular to the extension direction of the slide rail. The flexible screen includes a first end and a second end which are disposed opposite to each other. The reel is configured to fix the first end of the flexible screen and rotate to drive the flexible screen to fit to the reel and coil around the reel. The clamping module is configured to clamp the second end of the flexible screen. The reel is further configured to rotate to drive, through the flexible screen, the clamping module to slide along the slide rail towards the reel.
Method of Inspecting & Monitoring a Fiber Termination
A system for monitoring the performance of a multi-stranded tensile member where a portion of the strands are concealed within a termination. The invention provides a monitoring system that allows the user to determine when one or more of the strands has degraded to a point of concern.
